As quoted from ImDb:
Does the above quote mean that guns aren't allowed in PA, or does it mean that you can own a gun without having to register it?
Rifle, shotgun or hand gun?

No. Your right to bear arms is federal as far as I know. You do not need a permit for a handgun, or a shotgun. No waiting period and no background check unless the gun sale is private. You do not have to register a handgun, rifle or shotgun.
If you're a felon it's a horse of a different color though. If you have been convicted of a crime of violance or been convicted of a crime that would bring upon a 2 year prison term, or been involantarily confined to a mental institution you are not supposed to bear arms. I don't know what the punishments are if such a person is caught with arms.

Hmm...I'm at a crossroads then.
I would like to take some of Michigan's gun laws and some of PA's laws and combine them.
Too bad they don't border. I'd live on it.
How about CCWs? Shall issue or May issue?

Thanks for the insight Phil, I have no criminal record, and I wanted to buy a gun but I butted heads with my dad and uncle on this, they are very old school and believe if I don't put myself in certain situations I wont need a gun and real men use their fists and not their guns. Which I do agree but not everyone think like that.

I wonder why every State seems to have such different laws concerning guns.

Good chances I won't run into a Grizzly Bear but good chances of running into a drunken idiot at a club, a wannabe street punk with an attitude or a jackass with road rage.

Grizzlies aren't as rare as you might think. One night you could be bringing the trash out to the corner and BAAM! A grizzly drives right by you and stops his car so he can eat you!
A fist is just an appetizer to a bear.
Bears are as far south as Colorado. Just rare.
Sasquatch is even further south....

I'd rather have a bear than the neighbors who lived behind us when I was little. I was in High School when they moved and it was just so great to have them go we had a Block Party to welcome the new people. ;D That's true.

Unfortunately antonio, 100% of the criminals posessing stolen firearms are not real men.... guns make them feel bigger in their simple minds eye, and they hide behind their guns in every fight or robbery they commit. I say it's become necessary to protect oneself from dangerous creatures like them; a knife or fisticuffs are pretty useless against a coward and his gun, so the only solution to this is to arm yourself against the true cowards.

fisticuffs.... Also, an armed citizenry will keep its government from becoming a totalitarian nation. Obama now wants a 'Domestic Military Force'? Sounds a lot like the USSR to me. We have a 'DMF'....it's called the Police Department. And, cops don't prevent crime. They investigate the aftermath. You know, there was a study a few years back and it determined that: 95% of criminals don't commit violent crimes in front of a cop! Imagine that!

Domestic military force? What are the police then?
Three's the threat of more socialistic events happening all the time.
