I realize Fuel injection hardly goes wrong compared to carb trouble that varries with weather.
I was always a do it yourselfer as much as possible. Kind of to be cheap and kind of because I'm a hands on kind of guy. My 03 had the 8100 V8 and more power than my new truck but the new truck has power too.
Hopefully this 1 will not meet its demise tragically like the other 2 did.

Mahnarch, I have had no intake manifold trouble with my Mustang at all. It's had a few normal repairs but nothing too bad.

I have a new Taurus and I love it. I had a green Plymouth Acclaim it was a 1992 and I had it from the time I got my license til a couple months ago. It was my little green bug but I loved it. My cousin who just turned 16 has it now.
My dad said to me "youre working now and out of school treat yourself to something new and dont drive around in an old bomb anymore." So thats what I did.

Phil, That 8100 down to a 6.0 is a bit of a down scale Phil. Smaller motors can get more power than ever before though. Chances are you'll get 150000 or more miles before you have to consider changing the motor.

I mentioned it on a bulletin post but I'll mention it here too. It's about 50/50 if I'll be on tomorrow. I head out in the morning to report to camp. I probably wont have to actually practice because old farts usually don't have to play the first day or very much the first 3 days but it gets harder after that. I will have a laptop and will probably get on nearly everyday but this is just a mention in case I miss a day or two I haven't fallen off the face of the earth.

I know what you mean about that. I had been thinking of an extended cab pickup or even a van. As long as the van was 4x4 and I could put a snow plow on it. But when my truck got wrecked abruptly I ended up buying another of the same thing.

It's funny that my "hello" topic turned into a car and truck discussion. I must be that kind of car guy! ;D My truck runs alright but I think it needs a tuneup. I have to hit the gas a helluva lot harder nowadays to get the thing moving. (Wasting a lot of gas... ) It's also been rattling a lot too. I've had my gearhead neighbor help me out. He's put two screws in the metal thing that's rattling, and it's reduced it to about 25% of what it was. The last part needs to be clamped, since he can't reach it with the drill. That should put an end to the rattle for good. I just looked yesterday and I'm at 190,000 miles. Still running strong though!

your truck is very cool Jersey. All you guys have big trucks I think it's cool.
I don't like to drive Classic's truck it's so big. I have driven it but its a F350 and it has big tires and a body lift. I'm not sure what that is exactly but it makes it higher.
