This made Classic rather happy
The Metropolis Baseball team announced the resigning of veteran 3rd baseman Classicblast Friday. The signing took place in a closed door meeting earlier this month but the press release was made on Friday. Classicblast, a 34 year old long ball hitter, has remained a consistent performer throughout his career spanning over a dozen seasons and four AA teams as well as a pair of rookie league affiliates in the late 1990s.
Now moving into what may be considered the twilight of the aging minor league slugger's career, staying in game shape to contend with the heavy youth movement in minor league baseball may be the wily veteran's biggest challenge to date.
Classicblast named winning a league championship for the first time of his long career as the greatest accomplishment thus far. "I've been right on the cusp of that with three teams but its nice to finally win one."
With numerous roster changes securing the position at the 3rd pillow provides some much needed stability to the future of the club.
+now back to me+ That made him happy after some really displeasing writeups made before.

Thanks. That did mean a lot because I'm not good enough to get ink too often unless it's to tell me to retire.
I'm just good enough to be so-so. hahaha.

There are always sports teams needing veteran leadership. I'm glad you got something written about you that you approved of. I know sometimes you have been angered by the write ups you have received before.

It was nice to have that happen. Not having Classic grumble about news paper reports. ;D

What's the source of that article?* It's not fair to show a newspaper bit without citation!
*(I'm, jokingly, phishing for his real name...don't really post a link)
