Hehehe You make me feel like I'm in that Bobby Brown song "My Prerogative" oh well. Aye, lewasite if thee doesn't share my sense of humor I'll chilax on the "razzing"

I followed the election and watched the debates you know, the whole 9 as they call it.
I don't really think Obama presented much of a message at all. He is articulate though. I hope it goes well because wisihing it not to go well is silly. As am American citizen even if I didn't vote for the president the decisions he makes can play a role in my life. So I hope he makes good choices.

The other was Carter 1 term because of so much adversity and then Reagan's vice President Bush getting elected. Bush Sr was the 1st vice President elected president while holding the office of vice President(1988) since Martin Van Buren 152 years earlier (1836). After 2 terms the flow just goes the other way.

It would depend who runs.
My Family is Republican but that's not to say we couldn't embrace a Democrat if he does well we will see what happens. We're very afraid of some of the policy Obama has proposed though.
It's a little early from my view to place support on a candidate for 2012.

I have voed for Democrats too but I usually don't agree with their political views. I voted for Bob Casey and I could continue to support him. His father was also very good.
I have a peeve with people who don't vote at all and yet they wine about the government. I don't mean if you're not 18 years old or anything but if you're 25, 30 years old or more and you don't vote I have no sympathy for those people when they cry about who is in office.

I did vote for McCain but I'm still partially glad that as long as it wasn't Hillary Clinton.
Possum has a good question but I don't know the answer to it. You never know either. Four years ago who really thought Obama was a possibility? They all talked about Hillary, John Edwards was mentioned, it was even felt that John Kerry or Al Gore may try again. I don't think most of the public even knew who Obama was four short years ago. Joe Biden and Joe Lieberman had been mentioned too.
On the Republican side there's often been mention of Ron Paul, Mitt Romney. I'm pretty sure McCain's moment passed. Not getting it this year was probably his last chance.
The McCain campaign did open the door for Sarah Palin though.

It's more fun to wine and not do anything about the problem.

I vote but I don't stew over things if the guy I voted for doesn't win. Things have a way of sorting themselves out.

One guy we might hear more about the next 4 years is Republican gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota. He might be one of the up and coming in the Republican party.
I don't know a whole lot about him, but I lived in Minnesota for 42 years. I know that any Republican that can be successful there has something going for himself. It is very much a union and Democrat state----I'm not implying that's a bad thing. It is what it is.

If you're message is sellable it probably doens't matter what party you are. I don't like the stand the Democrats have on most things today. My family were all democrats and pro union. That changed in my teenaged years when all the democrats started supporting abortion and over regulations of programs.
I'm not in agreement with everything the republican party does either but I have agreed with the GOP more than the democrats in the time I have been old enough to vote and that's why I'm a republican.
My union at work frowns on me being a republican but at least they won't elect me to a union position so there is a redeaming quality afterall.
Pennsylvania is a 'blue state' most years too. However I live in McKean county and my county solidly went McCain in this election. And this county is made up of rural population usually going republican.
We do have Senator Bob Casey jr a democrat who I voted for and support strongly.
I'm not fond of our governor too much Ed Rendell. He seems to say whacky things just to keep the limelight.
Sen Arlen Spector is a republican I can take him or leave him.

I consider myself a conservative. This means that I'm usually for Republicans, but sometimes they are not true to conservative principles. There are some Democrats, like Joe Lieberman, who cross party lines and have some conservative positions. I might vote for him if I could because he is honest, and I share some fundamental beliefs with him.
