Back when I was in high school we were walking up to football practice through a slightly wooded area on the school grounds. There were two deer standing around there. They decided to panic and take off, and one of them jumped clear over one of my teammates. Not around him. OVER him.

I about died laughing.

Back in college, I remember driving home when it was dark, and 4 deer suddenly crossed in front of me. Luckily I stopped in time and didn't hit them. Then a few days ago on my way to work I saw a deer on the side of the road.

You know what really gets me?

The one deer I killed was a doe that ran out in front of me when I was in my '72 Torino.

It didn't even put a dent or scratch in my car (it's a car that was made when cars where built like mountains) but, the doe, when she hit my car rolled under my car and her hoof went up, under my hood and pierced my washer fluid reservoir.

.....on my '72 Torino!!!


Where in the heck do I find a replacement?!

I now use an old 2liter bottle as my washer fluid reservior.

It sucks.

But, I love deer brats!!.....and back strips....and burgers....and rear quarter steaks....and hearts.

Cool animal that just happens to be very tasty! We have a major deer overpopulation problem here in Iowa.....deer carcasses all over the road and farmers crops ate up.
