My father is retired but yet he is a youthful 74 years old. He has pretty well restored a 1939 International Farm tractor. He has a 1947 Ford Tractor about 3/4 of the way finished it's painted and just needs to have the motor put back in and some other pieces reinstalled and he will have 2 show farm tractors to sell or show.
I have no idea what those things are worth but there is a following for them. He has already casually mentioned that the International tractor could go to Jason if he wants it some day.
That's kind of cool. I guess it's a constructive hobby for an elderly guy. My mother tells him 'if you have that much energy why did you ever retire?'
Just thought I'd share this with you all.

My dad's 71 and he's kind of the same way.
If there's ever a time that Ford Tractor comes up for sale my dad's a lifetime Ford person.

What are farm tractors worth in a restored condition?

No idea, but I want to restore/customize a classic car one day. I can certainly handle the metal work, such as welding, grinding and shaping. I just need to get my hands on one of them before they get too ridiculously expensive, even the rust buckets.

Dannyboy got a Firebird that could use paint and some tlc but its driveable and looks pretty good but could use a little freshen up. What kind of car would you like to get Jersey?

To the right buyer they can be worth 20,000 or more. They're harder to sell than restored cars because they're not road vehicles. you can drive them on the road but for all reality they are not road vehicles. If you live more than about 10 miles away you would need a trailer to move it.
There are still people using tractors from the 40s and 50s in everyday farm use too. They still have a practical use as well as a collection use.

i like hotrods but my dad would kill me if I said I would chop a good origanel car but if I got a fiberglass body and a frame from a junkyard and made a engine from a high profermince car that would be all different

Nice ride Jersey Life If I had my wish I would get a Ford GT but that's a little out of my range. It would be cool to have one and give it to my sons someday but I have lots of old baseball gloves and bats for my legacy to them. hahaha. Pure sweetness.

Those are pretty sweet. Why don't you just get all 3 of the cars in the picture and have a red 1, a white 1, and a blue 1.
You're a pro athlete we know you're rolling in cash. J/K. Maybe they'll give you a better price if you buy all 3.

Phil, my dad restores old John Deere tractors and they usually go for close to $10k in auction on eBay.

Wow, isn't that like racing a deluxe collectible car?
