Ma keeps pulling out the pictures: In the summer of '87 or '88 Yellowstone National Park caught fire...and me and my family were stuck right in the middle of it. Being 9-10 years old at the time, I didn't realize what exactly was going on but, here's one of many photos my mum caught of the mayhem. It makes me realize the drama that Californians are going through, now, with millions of acres burning up as the summer heat and wind bring down their houses.

i have never seen a forest fire. my dad said thats spontanyous combustion that causes them dry hay and sometimes animal waist
i have seen snow storms and sometimes a flood but not the big floods that I have heard of all my life i have been lucky with not seeing disasters a toronato looks kind of cool though

We had some water spouts here a few days ago [on Lake Michigan - off the Holland coast] None of them made landfall, though, so we got lucky.
There was a 'Special Marine Advisory' for a day, or two. It's been a while since we've had one of those.
