I think he was kind of funny. He might have offended some people becaue he was so mean to orgainzed religion. For his sake now he better have been right or the invisible man in the sky will already have doomed him.
I like his humor though. He was super great in Bill and Ted movies.

My mother was a bit of a fan of him. It's a shame he went, but he did have a history of heart problems, as I'm hearing that heart failure is what killed him. Still a shame though.

He had some funny material, like the incomplete list of impolite words, but I think he was too vulgar other times. I'm more of a Larry the Cable Guy fan.

I could find him funny at times. But I don't like when he goes off on the Church or makes fun of things that seriously mean a lot to me. But he could be funny too with other things.

I am going to miss Uncle George, so much. All through growing up he was always there - pointing out government fallacy. Religious bull. Societal wrongs. But, he had a true heart.
He was the distant uncle that was 'always there' - in a sense.
The ironic part:
I was watching one of his DVDs at the very time he was in the hospital but, I didn't get the word until later.
When I heard about his passing on my clock radio this morning I jumped out of bed and put my shoes on (shoes and PJs, always attractive). I didn't know what to do - "Do I go out there?", "Do I make some phone calls?", "What?!"
***
My own father looks just like GC, only 20 years his younger. He even said so, himself, years ago.
I just don't know what to do. And, I hate how the news keeps reminding me about it.
I'll be mourning for a few weeks.

I fall into the same category as the rest who could have a nerve touched about certain things. I think there are some things you just shouldn't make fun of. But I went to see/hear him live about 12 years ago. It was a good time.

That is a funny skit I forgot about that one. ;D
I guess Carlin was thrown out of several Schools and the US Air Force he said in an interview that was rerun this week.
But when you're seventy one years old and still a rebel imagine how he was at twenty.

I think I'm ready to call some stupid baseball fans all 7 things you're not allowed to say on television!!!!!
Idiots that wouldn't know a baseball player if they if they stepped on one and they know everything there is to know about how you're suppose to play.

I didn't always agree with him, but most of the time he was a lot of fun. R.I.P. George. Thanks for making the world a brighter place.

His religion jokes remind me of Pat Condell.
