I saw this a while ago. Well, we all know about the comedy series "Ugly Betty" which was a program that was passed from Mexico that was known as "La Fea mas Bella". Well that show is now going to Japan, or china (don't remember which). There will be a Japan version of that.
Now, it appears that the Mexican TV broadcasting "Azteca" the makers of the series, had settled for a trade. I noticed after watching it.
THEY GOT THE HUMAN TETRIS GAME SHOW! WOOHOO!
Any other shows that have been passed over to be made in other countries?
There's as well a Mexican version of The Nanny and a Latin version of American Idol.

I have never seen this. Is it kind of a combination of a reality and a sitcom?

There are different versions of Deal or No Deal played in many different countries, and it goes by the same name in most of them. There is also Family Feud, which goes by the name Family Fortunes in the UK. Another game show, Match Game; the version with Gene Rayburn, went by the name Blankety Blank in the UK.

That's funny. I use to watch DOUBLE DARE a lot and I liked it for the way out things that would happen but this is even more way out.
I like it.
