Shooting in Butte , Montana
Shotgun preteen vs. illegal alien Home Invaders:
Butte, Montana November 5, 2007
Two illegal aliens, Raphael Resindez, 23, and Enrico Garza, 26, probably believed they would easily overpower home-alone 11 year old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two-story home.
It seems the two crooks never learned two things: they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay pigeon shooting champion since she was nine.
Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.
Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of 00 buckshot from the 11-year-old's knee crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals.
When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive.
It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45 caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. That victim, 50-year-old David Burien, w as not so lucky. He died from stab wounds to the chest. Ever wonder why good stuff never makes NBC, CBS, PBS, MSNBC, CNN, or ABC news........an 11 year old girl, properly trained, defended her home, and herself......against two murderous, illegal immigrants.......and she wins, she is still alive.
Now that is Gun Control !
Thought for the day:
Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
This article covers two things: 'Gun Control' and 'Illegals'.
We don't need either one!
If we had 'Gun Control' that little girl would be dead.

Wow, that is an amazing story. It's too bad stories like this don't make national news, like you said.

I know it's part a tragedy because three people die in the story but it's sure one for the little girl.
It's a great story on another hand because it shows that two thugs got what they had coming. They were proven killers not mere robbers and they figured a little girl all alone at home would be an easy target. In a rural place where even if there was a 911 call, and an efficient operator and Police Force the distance would place the robbers/Killers in and out of the scene of the crime long before help could realistically get there on time.

Too true. I have another one: CNN - Wedding Guests chase gunman
LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (AP) -- An apparent stranger shot the bride, groom and two other people at an outdoor wedding in rural Arkansas, then was arrested after being chased by outraged guests, a sheriff's official said Sunday.
The wedding was just ending Saturday when the suspect approached with a 9 mm pistol and opened fire, Pope County sheriff's Lt. Aaron DuVall said. No one else was hurt.
About 50 people, including children, had attended the ceremony along Piney Creek north of Dover at a spot the lieutenant said was popular for picnicking and swimming. Dover is 64 miles northwest of Little Rock.
The suspect "was not associated with the wedding at all," DuVall said. "No one knew him."
Police arrested Patrick Paul Duvall, 29, after he was chased into a Russellville restaurant parking lot, said the sheriff's lieutenant, who is not related to the suspect.
DuVall declined to identify the four people who were injured, but he said the bride, groom and a third victim remained in the hospital Sunday. One victim was treated and released.
Without the victims' names, it wasn't possible to get information from hospitals on the patients' conditions.
Deputies say Duvall will remain in the Pope County jail at least until a bond hearing Wednesday morning. Jailers said an attorney had visited Duvall, but they declined to release the attorney's name.
The sheriff's lieutenant said Duvall faces four felony counts of first-degree battery and a felony charge of vehicle theft after the shooting.
A telephone number listed in Duvall's name in Russellville could not be found Sunday night. If more than one of those wedding guests was allowed to carry they could've stopped the gunman a lot quicker. [People have to realize that lawful, CCWd citizens are fully trained operators. It's not like they're just handing them out to anyone with $50 - so the "The guest could've shot someone else" statement is nullified.]

But what happened to the girl? It's like these days, even if it's legal to kill someone invading your home who will likely kill you, murder is still murder, right? Or at least it's twisted around to be. Good for her though. It's disgusting how much crazy people can get away with. If she hadn't killed them and they'd been arrested, how long do you think they'd be in prison and would they be sent back home?

I agree with Demona you do have to weigh the circumstances a bit. This girl was home alone and invaded by robbers who had already murdered. They're not likely to consider that this is a child they're thinking more like this is a person who could identify them.
I agree with Mrs.Blast too they found out the hard way they were not dealing with an easy target.
Arkansas situation is almost like a story you read about that takes place in the 1930s and the Ku-Klux Klan is involved somehow.
It's hard to fathom that things like this still happen.

I'd love to hear her talk about it at school.
"Patricia, what did you do on holiday?" "I killed two immigrints with a shotgun."
The teachers face will be epic.

Actually, Demona, the law was recently changed: It's legal to shoot anyone who is inside your home - as long as it's not in the back. They don't even have to be posing a threat. So, that's cool. *** PoisonDart: I'd love to see that facial expression, too..BUTTTT!!!, you know she's probably got some liberal teacher who'll say she doesn't want Patricia in her class cuz she "might be carrying a gun...."*** Here's another one: Fort Lauderdale homeowner shoots burglarFORT LAUDERDALE - A Fort Lauderdale homeowner shot and wounded a would-be burglar who tried to get into his house shortly after midnight today, police said.
Michael Anderson, 35, has been charged with burglary and aggravated assault in connection with the incident in the 100 block of Southwest 31st Avenue, police spokesman Sgt. Frank Sousa said.
Anderson is accused of ripping open a porch screen to try to get into David Hadden's house, and then charging at Hadden with something in his hands when the owner confronted him at about 12:18 a.m., Sousa said.
Hadden, 50, fired several shots from a weapon, striking Anderson, police said.
Anderson was taken to Broward General Medical Center and released into police custody shortly afterwards, Sousa said.

I hate to see people get shot but somehow when its robbers and killers this has a mild twinge of humor to it.
I would rather they got a little led in their foot and hands and then stood trial but if someone had to be killed at least it wasnt the 11 year old girl and it was people who had already murdered.

True. I hate to see a criminal get off so easily by dying. I'd rather level them out and make them go through the process.
That's the problem most anti-gunners have. They think that just because you've been shot you're going to die.
