Ted Kennedy is not someone I have really been a fan of. He has views on issues that are different from the ones my Family and I have always believed. He also has been known for being a womanizer, and not true to his faith although he maintains his Catholicism.
There was also the event that happened many years ago with In 1969, Edward Kennedy drove a car off a bridge into the channel between Chappaquiddick Island and Martha's Vineyard. Kennedy managed to escape, but his passenger, campaign worker Mary Jo Kopechne, drowned in the submerged car. Kennedy left the scene of the accident and did not call authorities until the following day. Kennedy pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and received a suspended sentence of two months in jail. Disclaimer: Article copied in last paragraph.
The suspended sentense never took place as far as I can research.
Still I am sorry to hear he has been diagnosed with Brain Cancer because treatments usually still result in the patient's death. But I will still pray for Senator Kennedy because I have always learned that is the right thing to do. But perhaps he will be forced to retire and that way his views will not be voted into place during congressional meetings. Kennedy is seventy-six years old.

I guess I feel the same way. I don't care for Kennedy but I don't wish him ill.

I read about it in the paper. I don't know anything about him, but wow, that's bad news.

It's safe to say I hate what the man stands for but it's sad to see anyone, even someone who you really dislike, go through that kind of suffering.

It's safe to say I hate what the man stands for but it's sad to see anyone, even someone who you really dislike, go through that kind of suffering. I feel exactly the same way.

He's never been my favorite legislator, but he has had his moments. He's way too liberal for my tastes, but he's done a lot to support people with disabilities. I certainly wouldn't wish what he has ahead of him on anybody. I wish the Senator the all the best.

I wish Kennedy, the man, a good recovery. But, Kennedy the Senator is one of the worst. I find it amazing that people can erase someone's horrid past because of something that's recently come up [i.e. - other Senators going senile on the floor] History of KennedyThe Real Kennedy RecordA more different Kennedy Record
