The logo belonged to Skier1. It was his sketch. He has not been active in several months. In the before time, when the membership base of lewasite was different, and most of the participants were Sodarace.net members which we still have a lot of sodarace members, Skier1 often changed the Logo. So did Cubed05, and Sizzlepop. It got changed about once a month but slightly less often as it went on.
The logo most of our current members know is the only logo displayed at Lewasite for about two and a half years.
Obviously Skier1 has not been active much in the last year, he has not been active at all in about six months. That is up to him there's no hard feelings if he is not interested in being active here. At least not from me.
However the logo became unhosted by Skier, obviously I'm sure he was the only person who could remove it from it's hosted server.
It is his creation even though Vix was able to save it and re host it.
I reset it on the top as the logo because it looks better than not having a logo.
The logo is Skier's creation and he has obviously decided to remove it as well as deleting his profile altogether.
To members with less than three years participation you would not know about the often changing logo, obviously, since you weren't here at that time. So, to most of our current active members it would be as if there never had been any other logo.
Yet Blastgirl suggests that since Skier1 made that logo it should remain his property. And his removing it from its host tells us he doesn't care to leave it behind.
I for one am sorry he feels that way but I can respect that point of view too.
With that brought out, I will also point out that Sodarace members, who still make up a large percentage of the site's members if not the majority still, are good sketchers and drawers. Vix, aido179, Mist, Spartan, im_an_alien, are all soda members who like to draw.
The idea is not limited because anybody at all would be welcome to draw up whatever they thought might be a suitable replacement.
I think we should have a poll.
Please understand the poll is to find out what you members want to do not necessarily the highest vote getting answer is what we are going to do but that's probably how it will play out.
Please vote and help the board's members get a sense of how you feel. Comment too if you would that would be great. Thanks,

PS I did not put an "I don't care one way or the other option" if that's how you feel just post that and there's no need to vote if it doesn't matter. I really want to get a feel of the members' take on the logo.
My vote is 4, draw up some ideas and then look them over. Then we can discuss them and decide whatever we decide from there even if no change ends up being made.
