This thing took me atleast 5-8 hours to complete... Considering I knew nothing about the program I was using, I think it turned out okay.
What you guys think?

It was a bad joke that when you roll two dice and both are a six, it's called "box cars," (perhaps you knew that) and in Monopoly if you roll boxcars or "snake eyes" you win $500.

Good job on the headphones. I see how you made the ipod from primitives. It looks decent in this dim light, but you might want to add some more detail around the scrollwheel. That part really stands out.

In general, that frame is quite nice. You did a good job on the lighting, too.

Btw, I dabble in 3D modeling myself. I'm ok at the modeling part (using Blender) but I haven't really explored lighting very much. Here's my latest work (the USS Enterprise)

It is better and more detailed now, but I can't be bothered to take another screenshot. I need to add yet more detail (and texture the thing... urgh) but I'm pretty happy with it.

Yeah... To be honest I used some help from a tutorial to make my ipod scene, I don't really get to design anymore, with school and everything else... Hopefully I can get back into it, it's a great thing to do, but I don't know if I can.


I forgot to add - Nice little peace there, if your planning on going through with the entire enterprise model.... you have one hell of a start!

The geometry is complete, save for the random plastic frobnitzem that are stuck to the warp engines (and a few minor details like running lights). Then there is texturing, which I expect to be very difficult. (Blender isn't the friendliest texturing tool out there...)

Yah. As I said, I'm going to texture it, and the texture will include colors. Ideally it will be a perfect replica eventually.
