hedgerow dreams:
(inspired by the conversation about preventing teen pregnancy to some extent. my band and I wrote this yesterday as our first song. what do you think?)
hedgerow dreams; everynight; by the light, of the moon, in the sky
they say there are plenty more fish in the sea; im not sure; am I the angler or am I the fish?; maybe im simply the lure
hedgerow dreams; all night long; if only I knew that back then I was wrong
hedgerow dreams; i miss you now; i want to move on but I don't know how.
.......................... end ..........................
for any of you guitar players here (like me): the tab is really simple its just power chords.
----------------------------- -----9---------------------- ---9------9-----11----9--- -7------9----11-----9----- -------7----9------7------- first note by note, then strummed. there is more but im not tabbing it now. me=lazy.
so what do ya think?

My googlesearch says that it was a 1980 release. I have heard the song but I had no idea how far it goes back.
I like your song Aido179. Were you inspired by some personal sorrow with this? Well if so it's a passing phase.

lol. well, originally, I think so, but the lyrics just took off. the three of us in the band just began playing and it came out like this.

Artists that are the most successful are the ones that express their own heart. Nothing wrong with that.

thanks BG! Sorry I havn't been very active lately... The band is taking flight! were going to our first gig this saturday. We've been practising everyday this week after school from tuesday and if I say so myself....were sounding great. well, even relative to how we sounded before this week! lol. it is only a familly party for our drummers cousins first communion. but a gig is a gig and you cant argue with 40+ people!

that's awesome!
My band and I are planning in getting into a studio but damn recording is expensive no wonder many artists look for alternatives.
I wrote some lyrics in my creative times, and we're also working on something that has a really nice intro that uses the flanger. It's too long to show the tab for but one half of a small verse has a flanger rise and the other has the flanger fall. Really awesome. It's called "Stopped Helicopter" right now, but it's way too awesome. We need a bassist...

You guys should post an excerpt of some of your music in this topic. That would be great and it would be a fun way to show the Members here what your Bands are all about.

Recording guitar isn't too hard, but recording drums can be expensive.
You could get a cheap music mixer with USB connection, I've seen one at 50 dollars one time. Or a Boss recorder. Those look very useful, I'm planning on buying a MicroBR. But for now, I have my PC and keyboard.

cool. i'll look into that! on another note, we played our gig yesterday night. WOW what a buzz! We ended up playing for over 3 hours with a set list for 45 minutes! lol. we got 7 requests for Rockstar by nickleback and we played it each time! lol. Everyone was drunk so they didn't notice the one or two times we forgot to play the longer chorus. oh, the lyric: girls come easy and the drugs come cheap....is damn true, well, the first bit anyway! the girls loved us!

I like the set up. Keep us posted. And there's no problem posting twice in a row when you have something to say it's all right to post like that. It's not like you're just doing it for spam reasons.
Some forums chew you up 1 side and down the other if you double post but I have no problem with it at all especially when done this way.

Way cool Aido179 it looks like you got some dancing lights that spin and some Christmas lights for constant and have made your stage.

That's the idea though. The stage should be somewhat dark enhanced by the lights and the lights should have effective.
