My work put together a recreational baseball team. I play for it and so does a friend and former team mate. Carlos was born and raised in the Dominican Republics.
I am 36 years old and Carlos is 42. I understandably admit that I was never quite qualified to hit major league pitching and neither was Carlos so that's why we both had pretty long AA careers and never went any higher. We both knew that and never quarreled with it.
The area teams we have played against so far are pretty good community teams but Carlos and I are hitting these pitchers as if we're hitting a ball off a T.
But its nice to be on a team and swinging a bat again. Even if its not for occupational purposes.
