I haven't had the opportunity to watch the Olympics as much as I want to. Overnight shift puts the kabash on a lot of it.
I was quite impressed with some of the rowers on Sunday though. Enough I would love to get a rowboat.

Worst thread starter ever. If you're going to have such a negative attitude towards all the great athletes that put on such on such a great spectacle every four years please take somewhere else. Hey, maybe they'll Halo 3 in 2012 Phil: Just saw the rowing semis last night. US didn't look great but they made it to the finals so we'll see what happens.

God, are you trying to insult my taste in consles?
Don't even say that game again.
Now, Usually, people say what they want talked about, not a single "Discuss."
I'm glad GB got it's first medal in years.

Some of the divers made a big slash and the commentators said how that's going to get bad review. I'm like I could never bring myself to jump into water that far from the diving board so that was still good diving as far as I'm concerned. ;D

Michael Phelps tied the the record for most golds in a single Olympics. The 100 back earlier was insane, he won by 1 hundredth of a second.

Michael Phelps is doing great. And the womans softball team is kicking ass.
Theyre going to abolish softball as an olympic game in 2012. Because Team USA won it the last 5 times and probably will again.
Thats not fair to any of the womens softball players of any country. They would all like to play. In fact its kind of fun to play an unseat the leader style too. Its like our king of the hill at Lewasite.

Sorry if this offends anyone in other countries, but I personally hope the U.S. owns everybody this time around. The last year or so I've seen nothing online but other people from other countries bashing the United States, blaming us for all the problems of the world, calling us world tyrants.
The one I can't stand the most is the "fat f*cking Americans" tirade I've seen time and time again. I hate being grouped in with what other nations call the fattest country. Sure, a lot of people are fat but that doesn't mean all of us are! To me, its the same thing as racism and prejudice.
If a U.S. dominated Beijing Olympics shuts just one of these mouths online, then that's enough for me.

I don't help defuse the fat American stereo type.
I agree though I hate being bashed all the time and over everything. I think that's indicative of seeing us at the top rung of the ladder or at least near the top rung in most things.
There's wonderful friends here from Ireland, The United Kingdom, Norway, Austrialia and Mexico sorry if I neglected to mention other countries who might have members of lewasite.
I can't always remember who comes from where in the few moments taken to post.
I am pleased that the people we have met at Lewasite don't have the impression towards us that the international media seems to see.
I am pleased about the softball but I'm actually at work while the games are being played most of the time.
There's probably not enough countries that participate in American style football to have it be an Olympic game. About as close as they could come world wide would be rugby.

Eight Medals for Michael Phelps and the estimated opportunity for fifty-million dollars in endorsements. That's a productive Olympics for him.

I'm past my curfew but I had to watch the softball game. It went to extra innings.
In womens softball Olympic rules after seven innings you get a runner on second for extra innings.
That didn't matter in the eighth but in the ninth Team USA scored 4 runs compliments of Crystal Bustros 3 run shot. Japan got 1 to keep it interesting but it was too little too late.
USA plays for a Gold nomatter what now. I think USA can't get any less than a silver now but I'm not sure how Olympic policy works.
I was surprised that in Olympic softball you can come back into a game after having been pinch hit for. The USA catcher was back in after she was held out for a Pinch hitter in the eighth.
I don't know all the conditions but if that's the case I wonder how more teams don't bat out of order just because they can.
There's probably conditions that weren't explained because otherwise it would be out of control.
I'm very excited for Team USA. Baseball is my thing and this is my country.
