I was just thinking back a few years ago...which I tend to do, alot. In '02 I had my wisdom teeth removed and I opted for being 'put out', which I had never had done before, so I didn't know what to expect. After 2 weeks of dreading it, the morning came and I had my friend drive me to the wisdom teeth doctor (as requested/required) and during the entire trip there I had little pops. Nothing big - just nerves kicking in. I remember waiting in the lobby, reading magazines and steadily growing worse and worse pains in the stomach and sneaking some pressure out when the opportunity allowed. Finally, the nurse calls me in..... I stand and feel the butterflies going crazy. I fend off the feeling of wanting to cramp over in anxious, pants exploding pain. She brings me in and we do X-rays and I get comfortable - chatting with the crew and the bubbles subside. Finally the doc comes in and administers the 'knock-out' needle and gas. The last thing I remember is having one, lasting bubble in my gut that I was holding onto. .......When I woke up...the bubble wasn't there anymore. Did I..? While knocked out? And,,, how bad? Is this something the DDS almost expects? Is there a reason why the doctor was getting into an ambulance as I stumbled out of his office?

I guess you'll never know.
I think Medical people of all capacities are accustomed to people farting so they're not too startled by it.

Expecting it, yes.
But, at this volume? We're talking, like, football stadium air volumetrics, here.
