I know some states have gotten away from the setting of clocks, spring ahead or fall behind.
However I kind of like the spring ahead. Yeah, we lose an hour of precious sleep. But I do like having the sun come up earlier and having daylight now already still at 630-7pm and before too long we will have daylight until 9pm or after.
This year they moved it up about 3 weeks from the norm. But its nearly time for the spring clean up and repairs at work and soon ground is going to break for a couple additional structures going up. With added daylight a little sooner I have a hunch these projects will go fairly fast.

I don't care what time it is when the sun sets, I just want it to be warm. It's supposed to be in the 70's here today which sucks because instead of going outside and having fun I have to study for two exams tomorrow.
The weather is taunting me.

I know how that can be. Having to work when it's nice sucks too. But if its outside jobs I'd prefer it to freezing and I get caught in both.

I hate the loss of sleep.
But other than that it means for warmer weather is on the way, eh.

I used to be on the time where you didn't have to set your clocks. But since this year, my county moved to Central time, so I have to switch my clock. I had to move it an hour ahead. But I like it like this better anyways. I may lose one hour of sleep, but at least it doesn't get dark at 6pm anymore.

I don't mind the loss of an hour of sleep that much. I tend to get up kind of early anyway.

I agree! More sunlight means that we have more time to do stuff outside. Besides, I have a terrible problem of not being able to get outta bed till around 10 AM (I is howmskooled). I love to ride bike. I gots me a Giant Sedona, and it's a good bike. About three to five miles a day does it.
But the stupid cold came back after a warm tease...

Cheers to that. I love warm weather, i'm just not built for the cold and I get sick of the long dark days. I love being outdoors and I really like those long sunny summer evenings. Last year I enjoyed several of those just skateboarding with many different people at our local park during my free time. Actually, I have this great memory from last summer: One evening I just decided to go cruise though an area with some nice hills near my house, it takes about an hour to do a long loop. It was about 5 minutes from sunset when I got to the top of one of my favourite (<-- yeah i'm Canadian ) hills and as I started down it, after pushing furiously to gain as much speed as possible, and to the sound of Beethoven's "Leonore" impelling through my mp3 player into my ears, I looked up to see a most spectacular sky! Filled with deep reds, an orange sun, and the purple and blues found only during a twilight sky... It was a great moment. With the colours (<--... ), the music, the warmth, and the air following around me. It embodied pure freedom, to me. I have yet to experience anything like this during winter Oh, and today I woke up to see that everything was covered in ice! It was like some kind of crystal world. This, after having been like 13° last week! WTF?!

I don't care what time the sun sets. Echo mountain's open till 8:45 regardless of lighting, so I can ski from 4 till 9 on weekdays whether or not daylight savings time occurs.

NAh. That's what glaciers are for. I probably won't have to go backcountry until july, since we've gotten plenty at the resorts this year.

So you can ski just about year around? Twelve months a year, in fact. I know a guy who's skied at least once a day for the past decade or so.
