Steroids and other drugs are just a very bad thing to get involved with.
I have seen athletes ruin their careers and their lives over drugs. Roids do not only add bulk to the physique of the athlete, they give you a short rush of adrenalin as well. That also has some side effects such as paranoid tenancies, momentary rages, and occasionally loss of complete control. Which is probably the case in Benoits case.
That is unless he realized after a rage that he had killed his wife and boy and felt at that point the only suitable restitution was to take his own life, or maybe he couldn't live with the reality once he realized it himself.
I can't really be sure how that is here.
I have seen baseball players suspended, released, sometimes even imprisoned for drug abuse. It's been the financial ruin of guys and this past winter a former teammate was shot dead during a drug deal. I posted a topic about that at the time it happed.
So far nobody has proven to me that they can really manage drugs it always ends up that the addiction manages them. The substance ultimately ends up having the control.
Obviously I have been offered steroids and some other things. I have even been approached about how you can take certain things and an actual published book on how to trick any drug test or at least render it inconclusive.
According to that you can take four tests pass three and make the other seem as if it could be Advil or something legal. Its a tangled web.
There were times in my life I thought about it. I did. I wondered if I would at least temporarily be able to hit faster pitches, get off my sprints a little faster or maybe hit a little farther a little more often.
But I also decided that when I've seen people get caught for that and the ramifications always seemed to make it not a worthy trade for a short term enhancement.
If there's anything I've learned through all of this it's do things the right way. Sometimes it doesn't bring you to the highest rung of the ladder but the fall isn't as far this way either.

After Chris Benoits death Vince Mc Mahon had to make an announcement I believe in some Karma and I definitely think that Death and getting killed is not something people should joke about. And the WWE stages McMahon's death and then the organization ends up with one anyway. |
