Sumo wrestlers. I watched a program about these kids from Japan who wanted to be sumo wrestlers and went in a tournement.
They don't live long and there way of training is eating.

Yeah they're pretty fat.
I can't imagine living that way. And the sumu match is pretty short it's just move the guy out of the boundries not pinning or anything. So the more you weigh the harder you are to move.

And yet are our sports so much less rediculous? Kids (read: jocks) train for rediculous amounts of time just to run into each other on a field. I would like to see you put up an argument for any sport being more rediculous than another. What about the caber toss? Curling? Cricket? Polo? Shot put?

You didn't pay attention to the program at all, did you? Sumo wrestlers are treated like royalty in Japan. They don't live long? Ok whatever you say dude; I've seen old sumo wrestlers but I guess maybe they were just fat people? Yah. Their only way of training is eating? Ok I hate to say it but that was one of the most ignorant things I have heard in a while. Sumo wrestling requires strength and agility. I guess you only get that by eating a lot or something. And I guess the hours a day they spend practicing technique and working out don't really happen. |

I don't find the Sumu Wrestler body too desirable. ;D There is some method to the madness but I don't really understand the objective of it.
