This topic is simple. You think of something you feel you need to have everyday, or at least under circumstances that are demanding. If you have to function without that feature it's difficult for you.
Me it's coffee.
Unless I'm allowed to sleep in but my better half rerely lets that happen. hahaha.
I am pretty much conditioned to do my best in the evening, and afternoons are a nice time of day too. But I am definately not much of a morning person and without coffee they'd even be more miserable.

My alarm clock, simply because without it, I would wind up being late for just about everything.

Probably tv. It was even worse when I went on road crews because there'd be down time often and that was the only thing that made it bearable was most hotels had hbo or cinimax. Still on overnight shift if it weren't for some of those channels tv is among my vices. Coffee too I agree with Classic on that 1. I think if I had to choose 1 thing it would be tv.

I've never been able to watch much TV except from the simpsons. Until about a year ago I was allowed to watch pokemon, but that show has gotten worse and worse as time passes. Its too bad, because it was nice to watch when it first started. The older shows are still fun to watch, at least to me.
My parents let me watch the simpsons mostly because its educational. I've learned countless things from the simpsons. Most of them coming from some joke in the show that I don't understand, then I ask my parents what it means, and they explain it. And where else would I have learned the proper way to eat donuts?
Hmm.. The one thing I couldn't do without would be.... uh... Fields, I think. Thats the basic reason I like being in oregon. Theres a huge feild to explore and wander in. It takes away quite a bit of stress, and its really relaxing on a windy day, especially when your hot.
I don't really need that every day, but I don't think I could live without it. I can't think of any object I need every day that I couldn't live without. That is, something other than a bed, house, food, water...

I watched my share of tv when I was in school. Nickelodean, Family ties, Cosby show and everything.
But I could be entertianed with a baseball. Or even a rubber ball to toss agianst a wall to similate a baseball. I would roll socks in a ball to toss and catch flyballs when I'd lay awake in bed. Baseball was my life. It still is a lot but I can't even address that without coffee.

We can become dependent on things too. If you don't have something and you never had it it's a lot easier to live without it. If you have something and grow fond of it it's much harder to give it up.
Computers and other modern convenience devices are big for that catagory.

you can hardly call an LP player modern but I like it alot, and without it I wouldnt be able to play the best records I have When you're an old fart like Classic and me you would probably consider anything made in the last 30-40 years modern. My father is 73 years old and he considers automobiles modern. Not that cars weren't plentyful when he was a kid but it was still possible to run accross people that did not have a vehicle. He had a few neighbors when he was a kid that did not have cars. That would be about like not having a computer in the house today but there's a few people who don't.

I don't think anyone could really do without vehicles... we'd all be kinda stuck without them.b Very true. If it weren't for a used car my brothers bought me I wouldn't have caught on with a rookie league. The vehicle I had at the time was not good enough to make state to state trips and I would not have been able to afford anything better so transportation is how it starts.
