I hate ants. But that's because I'm really allergic to the bites I think. One time when I was in like 1st grade I got an ant bite and it turned purple and blue and swelled up really big. Ever since then I've been terrified of them.

Big things. Litterally, anything that is more than 10 times my size. Ships, buildings, statues, rocks...
It makes me insecure.

giant jellyfish. seiously, just thinking about being being caught in the tentacles of those 30-foot ones...brrrr. actually, I think it's more of the concept of being deep underwater, unable to move properly or breath, at the mercy of whatever is in with me, that's scary. escpecially if it's big. imagining the same situation, bet 5 feet underwater, with tuna, is also scary. I'm also scared of the world flipping with the ocean above me and the sky below me, gravity pulling toward the sky. that simultaneously combines fear of being trapped underwater (the ocean would fall) and heights. also, spiders. not the way they look, although I don't like some of the bigger ones. more of the thought of being in close proximity with them, and knowing that if one's in the house it'll eventually die in a corner or end up crawling on me, and the thought of touching it forces me to kill it. I hate killing them if I don't have a flyswatter though, squishing them gets my hand or foot so close, even wit hsomething between us. it's not as bad in bugs because I know they can't hurt me, but I have exactly the same fear of stinging insects. I was once trapped in a car with a spider, without knowing where it was. very scary. I ended up killing it and it never touched me, but I wouldn't put my coat on until we got out of the car for fear of more.

I fear the possibility that I am wrong about everything I truly believe and truly want to believe. I fear the possibility of attaining the knowledge that I've hurt others I care about in ways I previously didn't know. In a way, I also fear the long-term future, mostly because I can only imagine my life getting progressively worse (I'm feeling awesome right now, so that isn't quite as harsh as it first sounds).
Started very recently, I fear the possibility that I won't be with someone I want to be closely associated with, but only because everything worked out as it should have. In other words, I fear the consequences of being powerless against my binding chains of situational moral wellness in the effort to associate myself with another who will, because of my feelings, alter my life.
Possibly my greatest fear is facing the consequences of realities that suck because they have to. In other words, some realities suck simply because some people decide to make them that way. For other realities, there is no other way. The greatest factor that can contribute to the bad of any reality is its fundamental necessity. That's scary.

Wow, Sizzle. I assume you mean a girlfriend with "someone you wish to be with."
And momentary reality does suck most of the time. If the truth be told.
But all phases are passing. The bad news is that glory is short lived, but the good news is so is adversity.
I also believe you can make your own reality. But you are not entirely powerless, because there are options, but there are obsticles that might prevent you from your main choice.
That scenario stared me right in the eyes a month ago.
I lost my position in AA baseball team.
My main obligations in this life are not necessarily baseball.
More important than being a baseball player I have to be a father first, a husband second and a baseball player might not be third anymore. It was first at one time but things evolve.
My one year old son is priority one, wife would not be second but maybe first and a half. Sorry Hon you know what I mean.
So when I lost my position I would seek another team if possible but being able to be the bread winner for a wife and a son and possibly more children down the road are my main obligations.
So I have a degree to be an athletic trainer. I could try to get a job in a team on a collegete level for that position.
Another option could have been moving to my home area. That would be a 400 mile move and that would place my wife away from family, but you do what you have to to get through things. If I had to hang up my glove, I could always go work with my brothers in a family construction business.
There are options. Can I determine my own fate? Not 100 percent, so there's some level of being powerless.
But the control comes in with seeking the alternatives and one by one trying to make them come to fruition.
There is a "what's going to happen with me now?" period to overcome but that brings us back to Sizzlepop's fear (concern)
If you believe in your principles you should stick with them unless you get a good reason to believe you are wrong. If you are don't be afraid to say "Hey, I was wrong before. Now I see the light."
It's ok to have that happen.
But if you have given thought to your positions and you are rooted in your principles you don't need to be afraid that you are wrong. Standing up for what you believe in is honorable.

That was a great post, Classicblast. Thank you for your thoughts.
I suppose "concern" is a better word than "fear" for my previous post.
I don't have much time to type this. Sorry. You were right when you assumed that I meant "girlfriend." I don't plan to specify further, but I hope everyone can see what I mean in the second paragraph of my last post.
