Just wondering, I have 2 sisters and one brother. My bro and I get along very well.
I mean by not anymore by that you don't see them anymore or that they just left and you don't see them much.

1 brother and 1 sister. We get along very well, unless were tired, then we tend to argue a bit. My girlfriend gets on really well with my sister

Two younger brothers.
Now that I think about it, the little Taiwanese boy that comes over here every day might count too...

Wow! That's a gap. But I know your story, Phil.
I have one sister that is 2 years and one month to the day younger than me.
5/3 and 6/3.
77 and 79 respectively.
***
She still acts older than me, though...

Who said anything about 'unintentional'?
My sister could very well be the....something....that happens..with oil spills.
I ran out of juice, there.
But, my sis can be pretty wicked. Especially with a wiffle ball bat!

With a gap like ours I wasn't as much like an older brother as I was more of a mentor kind of. The adult or nearly adult they could talk to who won't tell mom and dad.

Being the eldest, I can't imagine having someone to go to. I was always the listener.
My problems were always bottled up and stored away.
The day I grew hairs in places that didn't have hair before, completely blew my mind....and I didn't have internets who could tell me what the deal was.

I mentioned before that the reason there is such a gap is there should be 6 in my growing up family but my mother had some trouble.
I was born in 1971, then there was a miscarriage in 1974, another in 1977 and a yet another in 1978. So when my brother was born in December 1980 and my sister just in February 1982 they were truely miraculous events for my mother. And my mother was very scared during both pregnancies. And being about 9 or 10 at the times I remember both events well.

Phil, I'm sure you were the ultimate big Brother. I'd bet as well as being a protector you would also be a great mentor. I just know you're a great Dad for the same reason.

In my tribe the eldest son must devower the younger children to gain their strength.
Human tastes a lot like northern pike.
