We have a 'Hell' and a 'Nirvana'.
We're both sides of the coin. There's also 'Flint' to spark it all off.
I have no idea what Beaver Dam is all about.......

Not to mention McDonalds. I think it's in Kentucky. Oak Ridge is a very common name for a city. I used to live in Oak Ridge, TN. Very boring city but such great memories.
I wish I had photoshop, so I can fun.

One thing I miss the most is Robertsville Middle School, and the big tree that was in front of the house. I would sit there for hours. Then there were always fireflies that would show up at night. I remember the fun we had catching them. It's been 3 years since I've left. I noticed how much my old friends have changed. And Dollywood was awesome.

Have you been back recently?
I go back to where I grew up and it's like a bittersweet thing. My family still lives in my town and state of birth.
I'll see trees I use to climb as a kid and they're either a stump, deteriorated or in some cases much bigger than they were then.
Old mom and pop business gone and national chains in there place.
And my old high school is basically remodeled.
Then there's a few parts of town that are just about the same as when I lived there.
I can relate to that post Vix.

Classic, I just paid a visit to my old highschool a few weeks ago. Man, has it changed!!
We used to have two mobiles (or whatevers) out back. Now the entire back parking lot is mobiles. I guess they opted for that route instead of expanding the building.
Plus, the old bus garage is leveled and made way for a bigger parking lot.
The tennis courts were moved further south and the dirt 'nature walk' is now a paved sidewalk/bike path.

IT really makes you feel old when you return for a homecoming and its not how you left it.
I guess thats normal though.
I've seen the area I live in now change in a few short years so why should my hometown be any different.
They say its progress but I'm not always sure about that.
