Some people will take the vulgar approach to something when its not intended to be. Thats why just for ease of doing things, some people wont discuss the art not so much because they cant but to be more difficult.
Theres some people on this very site some are still here and some have not been around lately but in any case there are some that would then post a porn pic and act like its the same thing. They would even make any seemingly logical reason to explain how a Playmate spread eagle in Playboy Magazine is no more than a display of the human body in an art form.
That person would know darn well its not the same as -master-s display or the statue of David. But some people are just going to make it a silly thing anyway.

formerly-master-, I now see you in a new light. There aren't many your age that can not only draw the human figure as well as you do, but put your foot down to defend art in general as much as you have. You beat me to the 'anime/manga' comment back to the others. and, if you look at it from a new perspective, peon must really enjoy your art if he's willing to 'drop trou'. *** As far as the art: The first one looks like, perhaps, an earlier attempt? It might just be the scanning into the computer part, but the thing that draws my attention is the ornamant on her shirt. It's darker and more defined than the rest of the sketch while the rest of her seems to fade in and out.(I'm not really sure where the top of the left (her left) side of her head ends.) Number two: Hey! How do you know my sister?!! lol. Eyes, nose, the way you shape human hair and the shading. Top notch. You even remembered to add shadows created by her arm, as the light source is definately coming in from the left. Number 3: I am even more amazed by your ability to capture human hair. That is one of the hardest and most tedious things about humans. Is this a sketch on canvas? The discoloration (probabaly just from compression or scanning) is off-putting and makes the lower part of the picture look like foreshadowing of death or famine. (It's bright and yellow up top and fades to blueish-purple as it goes down.) It's messing with my eyes....or maybe my eyes are messing with me. A woman's body is truely a work of art in real life, but behing able to recreate it is talent. Do you just draw women, or do you sketch men, also? (Not necissarily nudes, either). How about a Roman or Spartan warrior looking out over the battlefield - worn, dirty and triumphant. *** Man, now I'm going to have to break out my sketchbook and get a new scanner as soon as homeowners insurance sends me my reimbursement check. I don't do 'real' human, too well. I'm more of a cartoonist, but I'm an art geek of all sorts. (including music and performance) [Edit: I tried showing a scan of my handy work, but it was ginormous. Does anyone know how to resize in UBB, or whatever this is? I can' only resize in html, and the same tricks only show blank areas where pics should be.]

Thank you very much. That means a lot.#
The first one was only a sketch with a very light h2 pencil, I never meant for it to end up so good but it did so I decided to post it. Done only the day before one of the others. The ornament was a redraw over it with a softer f pencil. I do have a confession to make, I dont own a scanner, I had to take a picture of them and crop them.
two: I'm quite proud of how I can visualise and recreate shading.
three: The hair on that piece took me more than two hours to do alone, non stop. Longer than I have ever spent on any other aspect on any piece before.
I do try to draw men and other objects but not as often. "why should I draw other objects when women are so much more beautiful?" lol, that was once a quote but I dont know the full words or who said it mainly when I draw men they turn out a little less real than I would like. I over accentuate muscles on men. especially near the neck.
That is a really good concept idea, I'm itching to try that one...thanks...I won't be able to color it though, well digitally anyway. I'll do my best.
Thanks.

No problem. You deserve props, man.
Whenever I try to draw men, I usually end up with late 90's Logan/Wolverine-type bodies - muscles that should be exploding out of the skin.
I do a lot of 'negative space' art, also (familar?) Hard to expain, better to show, but can't.

Were you looking at the girls naked when you saw them? "Were you eating the food when you were chewing it?" "Were you in the bathroom while you were taking a shower?"

Well in that case, they're pretty good for something you drew with your left hand.
