One of my teachers came in the next day with a scrolling LED banner pin, and when we asked him about it, he said it was funny because it usually takes Bostonians (I live in/near Boston) 3 days to find things like that.

It's not the most recent 'current event', but I read something in an article the other day that had a remark about this and I got the idea for the sig/avatar interplay thing  Now... this nappy-headed ho has to go wake up and do some studying.  edit: Yeah, I like how they blurred that LED pixlated (<-- Doesn't that already make it censored ;D) middle finger. Here in Canada I was once watching the CBC when they did a report on breast cancer. They were doing a short piece on some kind of a new method used in scanning for cancerous regions and showed a women being scanned with the machine. ZOMG ZUESSisMG!!!111 they showed the nipple and breast and.... my Canadian eyes are burned... ...my brain has been violated; my life destroyed... I'M GOING TO SUUUUUUUuuuuu uuuue... And this was on the supper time news. From what I can see about how the US media/politics works, a bit like that would never have been shown. |

Yeah that's funny. ... That looks like the same kind of packaging that you'd get at a dollar store, and most of that stuff is made in china. The lettering on this pack is mostly chinese... So what's with the white lady and baby? The packaging on those dollar store products are usually so vague. I guess it's because they don't really want to worry too much (read: spend too much) on marketing: If it's going to North America, put a white chick on it!; If it's going to Asia: What the hell, they like white chicks too! And what color will we give it? Universally pleasing green, of course!  I wonder how she plugs the nipples in... |
