I don't know if I could ever spontaneously think of that. When you add it up that way it is kind of interesting. The officer might be driving more reckless than the person he is chasing.

I think he was going the other way and turned around. I noticed him right away and pulled right over I think you get in less trouble that way.

Mahnarch that's a rather abstract Math formula to figure out it's probably safer for the Officer to let the speeding motorist go.

The officer might be driving more reckless than the person he is chasing.

The Police are always driving more dangerously than those he pursues.
The officer tends to get what some call 'tunnel vision' when they're on the hunt - either for a speeder or a felon.

Outside of that field of vision are the 8 year olds running out after their balls or traffic coming from the intersection that has a green light.

That's even worse because now we have to figure in conservation of momentum.


We have to figure in Force x Acceleration (or, in this case, cruise to decceleration)

v2 = 2gh where 'v' is ft/sec squared.

At 60mph you are traveling 88ft/sec.

h = 300 feet to come to a slow enough speed to turn around - or 3.4 seconds.
g = gravity - which, at this point, is 1.


Force x Time = mass x change in veloc...i...t...y.....

If you get the person's name/number, send a certified 'Cease and Desist' letter to their home.
If the calls continue you will have, in your hand, the certified receipt of delivery.
That will hold up in court, whether the offender shows up, or not.

If he does show up, you get to see his face.

Sure, I've filmed it several times already. I mentioned in the post about getting the ticket, and at least 3 other times I've filmed from in or around the post office and even divulged my po box #.

Actually, it's sitting right here next to me on the table.
But, it's stamped and ready to go!

I wrote a quick note on a sticky pad and apparently, my table top doesn't like sticky notes, so , the brown stuff on the back of it is part of my table..... (an added memento!).



Hope I wake up before the mail lady (Nancy) comes tomorrw!

I shall look forward to it. I don't go to the box everyday but I'll make sure to pack my camera Tues or Wed when I do go to the mailbox. I'll go tomorrow because I have to, I don't know if it will be here by Monday but Tues or Wed should be safe.

I included some "heavy" stuff, so I hope they don't send it back to me for additional postage.

I won't ruin the surprise but, I will tell you....the package weighs less than 1 ton.

Not there today. I probably will not get to the box tomorrow but Wed is a possiblilty. I don't go everyday.

I'm getting geeked about this.


Think about it from my perspective.

My envelope. My stamp. My goods that I put in the aforementioned envelope.
Getting delivered and opened hundreds of miles away through my computer machine.


It's not like it's a huge, expensive anything but, to me it's exciting and odd.

The dang Postal Service sent it back to me for additional stamps!!

I threw 3 more on there and I'll ship it right back out.
