The last movie I went to see that I really liked was Cinderella Man. It was about the boxer Jim Braddock's career in the 30s the movie was about a year ago.
I take my wife and my sons to movies pretty often but most of the time I don't like the movie.
I grew up watching the Dukes of Hazzard but the movie from last summer absolutely sucked. It was inappropriate and nothing like how the Dukes operated in the series that was so great when I was a kid.

Tomorrow my girlfriend and I are taking my brother to see Cars... it should be good. Fantastic film, lot's of Pixar insider jokes (Stay through the credits, John Ratzenburger at the drive-in is genius). Paul Newman is 82?! The last good movie I saw was Old School. It was on three times last weekend and each time my face melted when Will Ferrell shoots himself in the neck with a tranquilizer dart. I can't express through words the amount of restraint you must aquire not to laugh through that scene.

Nothing new... Life of Brian and Lord of War were the most recent. And they both rule. I must say, Lord of War was incredible. I normally consider new movies to be crap regardless, but this is a new movie that was actually awesome. Don't take the kids to it, though. Or the wife.

My brother couldn't go watch Cars on Thursday, so my girlfriend and I went without him. We both really liked it. Of course I'm a car guy so I liked a lot of parts, but it has something for everyone. I'd recommend it.

I watched 3 movies over at a firends house on saturday. So I'll share my brief opinions on them. 1. Final Fantasy: Advent Children. Up until that day I had been watching it in Japanese with subtitles, and I have learned that that is definetly the way I prefer it. Even without paying attention to the story (we were making jokes the entire time), I can say that it is a good movie to watch just to appreciate the animation and wicked action.
2. When A Stranger Calls. This movie was without a doubt one of the most boring movies I have ever seen, of all time, ever. Nothing even happened until there was twenty minutes left in the movie (yes we were counting down the time, we were that bored). And the only thing that was remotely cool was some guy got a firepoker through his hand. The rest was meant to be suspensful, but came out as pure boring trash. "ZOMG THE PHONE RANG" That is basically the entire movie.
3. The Producers. In a two word description: Pure Awesome. I loved the jokes, which were sometimes so predictable that you thought "no way would they actually do that", but sure enough, they do, and it all works so well. Other things are just so unexpected, like the nazi birds, or the sudden musical of "Keep it gay", but it all held together so well. Broderick and his security blanket were hilarious, the 2 minute musical recap of the events was great (we kept rewatching it), and the production of "Springtime For Hitler" was so catchy that we couldn't help but rewind and sing along.
This is perhaps one of my favorite movies of all time ever. It is definetly the ebst comedy/musical ever, and ties with Phantom Of the Opera as best musical.
So yeah. Go watch The Producers.

Watch the older version of the Producers. It seemed better to me, though the only real difference is the actors.

A Prairie Home Companion.
Feel-good movie of the summer. I'm fairly biased toward it, having listened to the show for years, yet it's very good and quite funny at times.
