I don't like it. Supposedly a campaign in northern California an southern Oregon might break from their state an call themselves Jefferson, I don't know what the terns have to be to secede,
I don't think its a good idea. Colorado seems to have similar consideration but that would be bad. I think that's the beginning of a broken union. I know they're not looking to break nationally yet but this could lead to that, Your thoughts?

I have heard a little bit about it. California breaking into two different states. Don't really know why I assume it is a fiscal thing. I do know that Southern Californians are most likely associated as "Californians" when people think of California.

I just would rather see repairs made than further dissention. I only see that leading to other states doing similar things. I know what beangirl means too about how Southern California by stereo type of the rest of the country is thought to be the whole state. When the Canadian province of Ontario is mentioned, most Americans think of Toronto and the Niagara Peninsula bur the province of Ontario is about the size of Texas in land mass.

Over 150 years ago President Lincoln said " house divided cannot stand" I know they would say theyre not severing from the nation but only from the state but I think that can lead to states attempting to break away also.

I know Quebec has said they wanted to break from Canada but I don't know if all of the people feel that way. It could be a ring of people who want that without it being the bulk of the people of Quebec. I know there's always been some friction between French Canada and English Canada.
What bothers me is I feel that this nation is more divided than ever. There's always been some squabble but it just seems worse now than ever before.

I would rather see people try to remedy things than break away from them. I think everybody does better if they try to work things out its easier to quit but the results are better to cure.

I could see this leading to further division but if it doesn't gain steam now the whole matter will likely just drop and I hope it does.
