Kim, I kind of Sgt Enforcered a guy who posted something on your facebook wall I felt was rude and inappropriate. If I talked out of turn I do apologize but I did not think something like that deserved to be said.
I perceive that person a stupid troll and that was my reaction to them.

Not entirely but its code names, except I used my name, however, discussion forum is less personal you don't have to be friends with a member to comment, and you don't see their actual pictures and location its an avatar with a name. Like here. Facebook is more of a personal network forum and therefore it was worse in that venue. |

I will usually add people who request me and I dont know them all or even a lot of them but its usually not a problem but when they act scum like that its different.

There's one that's getting pushy about wanting to talk to me on the phone and I don't know him good enough yet. I'll add most people, but I do look at their profile first just incase. Fart fetishists aren't my main concern though. I've had other kinds of troublemakers.

Youtube and facebook are plagued with trolls.
I still get calls from some people that obviously know me and have seen the videos. I had to have my number traced for $250 the phone company puts it in that ever call that comes in is recorded. And there's a way to change your number on the caller ID but the invoice comes it shows the real number next to it.

I can't easily change my number because work nationally could need to get a message to me. But with cell phones I'm usually contacted there with work matters anyway.
Trolls just anonymously get a chuckle out of making others mad. And in a cowardly way they also know you don't know who they are and are not a target of revenge.

They're on every website.
I can't even participate in the sports websites because of them. There's thousands of idiotic posts from people who wouldn't know a baseball player if they stepped on one and they talk about who the American League won the all star game.
I am not saying that none of the fans are in the know. Obviously a lot of them are. But you read hundreds of stupids before you get an occasional good comment.

That's a good point. That's how I found these discussion forums actually. I remember the aol chat forums were always filled with people almost chanting their objective and not even saying relevant things.
I remember seeing numerous slams on Bush or the military about the war or some off the wall thing like Manson is behind 9/11
I ended up finding this group and its been good discussion.
That's not to say we all always agree but at least its discussable.

speaking of phone calls my friend was getting calls on her cell phone at 4am and all different times in other states. she thought maybe one of her friends gave her number out. so out of the blue I went on google and there was a website of her facebook and cell phone number. I am guessing it was a hacker but they posted a lot of other facebook links with their cell phone numbers. I never saw the troll bothering kim but there are a lot of crazy people on facebook I noticed. when my profile was public I had some sick guy comment he wanted me to come over and fart on his face so he could smell it. on youtube someone looked at my farting video and asked me to film myself taking a dump. I blocked them. my facebook is set to friends only and I only add people I know. some of these things these people ask are just really gross. what is so great watching a girl take a dump? and I think that kind of stuff is most likely on youtube. the trolls on youtube saying crap is really ticking me off. many times their spelling is so bad I can't even figure out what their saying. also if they don't like the video what is so hard about pushing the stop button and moving onto the next video. instead they just like to complain.

I added some guy from Facebook who likes farts, and he never said anything about face farting, but he was getting pushy about wanting to talk on the phone and unless I get to be better friends with someone, I'm not comfortable with that. He aslo asked me if I liked any of his pictuers, and he's way younger than me. I don't get the fart and doo doo fetish thing either because it's gross. Farts stink, and do we even need to say why #2 is gross? I think people who get off on that have mental problems.

i wouldn't give anyone my phone number either unless I hung out with them and trust them. some of these guys are really sick and want to actually smell your panties. I think farting is funny to fun to film and see other people's reactions but that's about it.

For the most part it's better not to give your phone number or address to anybody you have not met personally. I have made that exception a very few times. And even then I have given my work cell phone number, and my po box address not anything more direct. Some of these people are like bro_c and tmtd of the original forum troubles. Granted those 2 guys were just 15 year old kids when the problems happened. What took place eventually was totally on them, but what started the friction was they wanted lewasite to stop so they made that their mission. So they trolled new members to get them to find the forum unwelcoming and hoped the new member wouldn't stick around. They attacked existing members who weren't in their click by saying that our posts were unnecessary. *yeah I know, by who's standard?* They would also criticize any reply to a thread that was over 2 days old but if you made a new thread so as to not bump something that hadn't been posted in in 2 days they would say 'there's already a discussion thread about this,' sometimes even linking you to it. They would also say they only post if what they have to say is 'well thought out' or 'makes sense' And that would be to who? THEM! They posted several things that were not well thought out and made no sense by the way. Maybe it was silly looking back for me a 34 or 35 year old at the time to cross swards with a couple of kids. I had been ignoring them for some time what got my attention was not mean they were to a couple of young kids who joined the forum. These kids did nothing wrong unless you consider not following their said standards wrong. I guess being the father of small children I know how I would feel if someone had treated them the way bro_c and tmdt treated the new kids I did throw my weigh around and then received the retaliation of them. Oh well a battle scarred 34 year old was ok about that. While Sizzlepop was a very good administrator his 1 flaw was his loyalty to tmtd since the early days of the fourm and where tmtd was concerned sometimes Sizzlepop looked the other way. He did not do the same for bro_c. And that was how we were able to break the troll chain. But the connection here is they're trolls who just want to anonymously upset you. That's facebook, youtube or wherever. I have battled in youtube with similar things. More for people who post nasty things to women or kids than if they posted nasty things to me. Again I just think that kind of stuff is uncalled for. |
