Phil, you're a ways up the hill, to be sure, but not over it yet. You'll hit the top of the hill in your mid to late 40's. From what I have seen looking at older siblings, you don't begin to rocket down the hill until your late 50's.....Those who take care of themselves go down hill much slower. My 73 year old neighbor walks 5 miles a day and lifts weights too. He looks like he's 43, not 73, and he acts like it too.

That's a good point Pumpkin. The manager I play for is going to be 70 this year. This guy can still clear a wall. Maybe not pitched at league velocity but he can still hit a ball that far.
And he can run some yet, and he can dodge a ball. And I have known guys I went to school with (I'm 33) and they're all stiff and sore to play a recreation game.

My father is 74 and tough as nails.
He still restores tractors. At the end of the summer he put roofs on his neighbors houses on either side of his house. And he just about did those jobs alone. 74 years old. So maybe at 36 I should just do my work and not grumble the getting old spiel.

Nah, you're entitled to feel your age Phil. After all, you are twice as old as you were when you were 18. You have some wear on the tread, but there's still plenty of tread left on the tire.
It's interesting how people age differently. I know some folks who are pretty much crippled up in their early 50's. Then there's my neighbor. But 36 is significant. When you were a teenager, 36 sounded ancient.
It's all relative. When I was at the doctor's office the other day, the elderly looking nurse told me I was still a young man at 50. I suppose. Compared to 70 something, 50 is young.

That's a good point Pumpkin. Last summer when I turned 36 I remember seeing some kids in a restaurant with sweaters that said 'class of 2007.' That would remind me that I still have the sweaters that say 'class of 1989' not that they would still fit me but I have them.
That being 18 years ago means those kids were just about being born when I was a senior.
