Tomorrow we'll be going to Tennessee to visit family, and we're staying at my uncle's house. I hope I'm not going to be bored, the last two times we were there for weddings and it was boring. I'll have my cell phone, things to read, and my mp3 player now, so the only problem is the insomnia thing. I'll take pictures if there's anything good.

I could use 1 of those right about now. This moron at work last night almost got his face punched in. Its 1 thing to take your time and be thorough but don't die on the job.
And obnoxious too. This guy always has to talk about what could go wrong to delay progress. For the amount of time spend talking about how this could go wrong it could have been made to work.

Well, its putting in new sinks and there's some plumbing that has to be modified. Not a lot since the area was already prepared for sinks. This guy wants to complicate everything by discussing the possibility of needing more piping. If all of the sinks had to be repiped he'd be right there wasn't enough materiel on hand to finish it. But there were 24 new units and about 6 were going to have the need to be re piped to the main server and soldered in.
This guy was then visiting the idea that the server could be in need of new piping too. That had already been tested and investigated. Our job is to get this done in a timely manner. That's not to say if there's breaks in the system not caught by earlier inspection that it should be ignored or unmentioned, but the proper steps had already been taken. Looking for trouble is either a stall tactic or an effort to downgrade the capability of the other crew. There was simply no need. And that's what happened.

BTW I envy that you're going to Tennessee for a while. The Carolinas and Tennessee are great states.

You should visit Classic and the rest of the Blast family while you're down there.
I haven't been on a vacation since I was 12. Maybe after graduate school.

I just knew the Blast girls were from the South. I would have bet on it from the beginning. You see my dads family is from North West Arkansas and when they moved here to Los Angeles in the 30's they brought there love of farts with them. For as long as I can remember, farting at Pop and Mimi's on Sunday brought gales of laughter from our family. It was there we all honed the craft of long and rank farting. We learned about armpit farts, dutch ovens and shooting submarines in the bathtub. When I joined farts and started reading there posts it took me back along way to a fun time to be a kid in a gassy family. Long live the South. ;D

I'm back, and it was fun! I shopped, visited people, and we had a cookout roasting hotdogs and marshmallows. My aunt can cook like woah! My mom got her chili recipe by the way. Yay for 3 days of overeating, lol! Staying at the house was better than any hotel. I had some fast food that we don't have here, which is a shame. Chick-Fil-A is good, but we had to stop twice at White Castle on the way too and from, it's the best! Before we left I had Waffle House, but just biscuits and gravy and an apple cinnamom waffle. It's funny that by the time we were just out of the state, my mom discovered the dog left it's ball in her bag. The only bad thing was how I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep, so I went online. Plus, how I have a cold now since I'm home. I blame the weather.

Its good that you had a nice trip. It is fun to try some things that aren't in your home town.
I know its a standing joke about Americans who go to other countries and still eat at McDonalds.
I get that too in a way because familiarity is sometimes preferred over the unknown. But we should also experiment a little on trips.

I get that too in a way because familiarity is sometimes preferred over the unknown. But we should also experiment a little on trips. I'd never do that, my parents probably would though. I love different kinds of food. I went with a friend once downtown to a Greek and Lebanese restaurant and tried that kind of food. It was good. They had rice wrapped in grape leaves, pitas, and salad made with vegetables I don't normally see. Anyway! Over at their house, we had real homemade food! Strawberry pancakes and French toast for breakfast. The second night we had the cookout, with hotdogs and pickle relish she made, along with the chili. The last night we had Swiss steak, creamed corn, some kind of salad with grapes and brocoli, and real potatoes and gravy! Not the crap that comes from a box in powder form either! Needless to say I miss that since I'm home. Here's a picture of me roasting hotdogs by the way. I cropped it though because other people were in it.

Sounds like a nice trip. We have Chick Fil A here . I don't care for it much. Reminds me of airline food when they used to serve on Planes. Yeah my family was stuck on familiar restaurants in Arkansas. We never got to Waffle House We always ate at the hotel buffet and at AQ's Chicken. One night we all have dinner at this Italian restaurant called The Venetian Room. OMG! Starchy Spaghetti. Steaks so thin you could see right through them,

Steaks so thin you could see right through them, Chick-Fil-A doesn't have much to offer on the menu, but I thought the chicken fingers were good. I wanted Popeyes, because the one we have around here isn't in a good area. I won't go to that one. I take it you didn't like The Venetian Room?
