I went with Mahnarch on his second half of the truck run. I even successfully attatched two out of the three hoses! After that I was at his house and think I wore my welcome out because his mom went to bed, lol. I always seem to yak for hours over there.

Its nice that you two have become friends. Yeah, Demona is good people. My Mom seems to think that we are dating and/or ....'friends w/ benefits, though....'. Pfftt! Demona won't lower herself down to my level. She only likes studly-looking guys... No worries, Demona; after Mum's stroke, she can fall asleep during a rock concert. I was awake for 2 hours after you sunk your foot in the mud puddle. *** I'd forgotten about the video. I'll have to upload that, soon. It's only 19 seconds, though.

All mothers think that Mahnarch no exception here.
Obviously its in part a way of parental trying to encourage a relationship. Parents say whatever but they always want married kids. Thunderbird gets a lot of mention but he is in a serious relationship for the first time in a lot of years so some pressure is off him. For now.

My mother doesn't think that as much, but my grandma does. Every time she sees a guy who looks to be around my age, is nice, and has a job, she tells the guy that she has a granddaughter whose single. It drives me nuts. In all honesty I don't want a serious relationship right now, as I'm not ready to settle down.

And you don't want to be made to feel awkward that way. hahaha. Its just that parents or grandparents think you need a little prodding. Like I said my oldest brother known on the boards as Thunderbird is 40 and not married. He does have a girlfriend for over a year now but other than that he hasn't dated all that much for a man who is 40.
He had one girlfriend in the late 90s I'll say roughly 1991 to 1999. Other than that he hasn't had a steady relationship until now. His choice. My mother was telling him lots of times "your two younger brothers are married and they both have children already when are you going to do that?
Obviously he didn't flip out at my mother but I know he didn't like that being said. Once or twice he said "would you settle out of court for grandchildren? At least then I can grow future labor."
That's another thing my mother would say "Terry (thats Thunderbird's name) operates a major construction business." and so on.

Being up at 4 in the AM also makes you post irrelavent posts, matey. Get more sleep before I flog ya!
Ye be on Crow's Nest duty fer a week! Th' bird's've been poopin' up there like ya would'ne'a believe....

Anyway:
I like to compare having a relationship to politics when it comes to family.
When I'm single it's like having a Republican in the White House. Everything is calm and cool. Money continues to grow in my checking account and there's no drama.
When I have a girlfriend it's like electing a Democrat; immediately, my bank account drops to zero and there is constant drama (I need this, I need that, Where you looking at that girl?, I broke your TV, I sold your house for $5, etc). Sure, I may have someone to cuddle up with (warm feeling/guilt relieved) but, in the end I step back and say, "HOLY CRAP!! What did I get myself into?!!*
* as proof: In the 8 months I've been divorced, I have 2,000 times more money and less stress than I had when I was married. And I'm not exaggerating!

Friday that was July 22? Eleven am. I was home getting ready for a lunch meeting scheduled for 12:30. I was showering and planning on being a good half hour early for the meeting because I haven't worked for these people long enough to risk being late.

In fact, I spent $606 today and blew it off like it was nothing. Speaking of which, I better get back to off loading wood pellets before it gets dark...[Edit: I should call Demona to come over and help me! But, she's probably working at this time.] What did you spend that much money on? I would have helped you!

I almost got sent to Roanoke this week but so far that's been postponed. There's still a chance of me getting that proverbial call but the longer they don't call me the less likely that is. The part that sucks is that like a couple months ago when they shot me a call to go to Baltimore. When that call comes if it does come it's pack up a suitcase and jump in my truck and leave within about a half hour.
