Hello again, I've returned from my absence. Sorry if I haven't been around but I have been busy and been distracted around other places.
Anyways this whole week was pretty bad.
So to start out, I just got home from the maxillofacialist (sp.?) because he had to tie my jaw down to my upper teeth (which mean's I can't really eat anything solid this month.) but here's the whole story.
So, on Tuesday I woke up early in the morning, had a small breakfast and then I got tired again and took a small 2 hour nap. I then wake up and quickly go to the bathroom, that's where I suddenly blacked out and felt an impact and I hear my sister knocking on the bathroom door, I get up and get out but I was still feeling woozy so I went over to my room and quickly lied down. I suddenly felt a painful stinging and a really weird taste in my mouth as well as some sharp feeling things in there.
I hear my sister coming to my room asking me if I was having a nosebleed and I told her no. When she gets in the room she sees me and gasps "Oh my god!", and I asked her what was going on. I then felt where my chin was stinging and saw blood everywhere on my hand. My sister then runs over to our mom and tells her what happened. They go to my room and quickly get me on a chair. They put a large bandage on my chin and at the last moment I spit out the bits in my mouth which turned out to me pieces of my teeth. As well as that I noticed that my jaw was hurting a lot.
We went over to a hospital and I was sent to an emergency room. Time passed, they took electrocardiograms, blood pressure and other vital signs. Then they stitched the cut. I got 25 stitches where the cut was and I was prescribed a really strong painkiller for my jaw and an antibiotic for my cut. I never saw the cut which kinda freaks me out though.
Anyways, when I was about to check out, they told me that I had to be hospitalized for the next 2 days because there was something strange with my electrocardiogram.
So I had to stay there for the other 2 days, and they did another 2 tests too: an echo-cardiogram and this other weird test where they strap you down on a bed and move the bed around while reading your heart rates.
So in the end I actually did have something. I forget the name but apparently I have a weak blood flow between my heart and my brain causing my blood pressure to dramatically change, and exaggerating adrenaline levels in cases of stress. So I got prescribed an anti-depressant. Because it stimulates blood flow or something.
I checked out of the hospital on Thursday and we went off to the dentist, because of my jaw pains (though I wonder why the hospital didn't check it that much.). We went there the dentist checked my teeth and took some small x-rays, and as soon as he developed them, he said that I have a fractured jaw. Luckily, it was stable and all I need is a month's recovery. We took various other studies and x-rays and went to a maxillofaciallist and had my teeth tied up. So here I am now typing about my day.
