I was at work and I had a car on a lift it was a Dodge van to be specific and I was hammering to drive a ball joint out of the knuckle and I don't know if hitting it kept vibrating it away or what but the contact point slid off the life and the whole thing dropped about a foot. We have rotary lifts at work so the vehicle couldn't fall right off but it shifted hard and damaged the rocker panel and running board on one side and had to be painted from the molding down. My arm was between the van''s body and the lift pole but there was enough pressure elsewhere not to crush my arm I was very fortunate not to break my arm or worse.

Lol, well really the older kid shouldn't have to share his stuff with some baby who's gonna drool over it and take attention away from him....

Oh, man. I have so many shop stories.
My co-worker decided to lift an HD Silverado up with only one arm of the hoist to pull a tire for a nail repair.
The truck was still in neutral and it rolled forward, just as Ben pulled the RR tire off.
Quick thinking me...kind of, grabbed my pry bar and flung it at the LF tire in a boomerang fashion.
I stopped the truck from falling off the hoist, but the customer's Nerf bar was still damaged in the process.
I also remember pulling a tranny out of a C-10 (77 plow truck), and almost losing an arm to the super heavy, cast iron transfer case. That was the day I learned I could power lift 350+ lbs.
My co-worker, Tom, dropped a similar transfer case on his hand (using a 55gal drum as a tranny jack???, dumb). He will no longer be able to use his ring and pinkie finger on this left hand.
I broke my index finger, left hand, when I missed the pickle fork with my dead blow hammer (Snap-on, 32, orange handle) and smacked my finger between the hammer and the caliper.
I caught a chunk of driveshaft in the upper lip when replaceing a U-Joint in a K1500 on the front shaft, front joint. We were still using the sacrificial socket, large hammer, big bench-vice technique. A chunk of the shaft came off and I got 3 stitches in the lip from it.
I also remember getting 9 stitches in the forehead when I dropped a cold chisel and stood back up, into my tool box drawer. The bloodstain is still on the floor.
I hated working on cars.
In fact, I think I'll start a thread on the horrors of auto repair, with stories about abusive customers and such. You can add in.

I didn't like healthy babies.... There I was, 2 years old and king of the castle. I didn't notice much that mom's belly was huge - heck, everyone was huge! Next thing I know, I'm giving up my toys. Giving up my old cloths and my bedroom was split in half!! My G.I. Joes had slobber all over them and I couldn't find anything where I'd left it. But, 28 years later, my sister turned out O.K. - though she still steels my toys without asking. Only now, they're $3,000 ATVs and guns with real ammo.... That post came off funny. The older brothers prospective in a comedic way. I was so much older than my brother and sister that wasn't really an issue. [There would have been others my mother had 3 miscarriages] but my brother is 9 years younger than me and my sister is just over a year younger than him. Ha! My sister and I are 2 years and one month to the day apart. I'm May 3, 1977. She's June 3, 1979 My parents are 15 days apart, same year. May 15, 1958 - mom. May 30, 1958 - dad. May and '3's seem to run in my family. My grandpa was born March 3, 1938. My aunt was born April 3, 1954. My cousin was born May 31, 1991. My old dog from childhood was born Oct. 3, 1983. My other cousin was born May 17, 1970. There's too many to remember, right now. But we got alot of numbers going.

You're parents are young. Your grandfather is younger than my dad. My father was born in 1933 my mother was 1945 there's 12 years
my June 14, 1971 my mother had 3 miscarriages 1974, 1977 and 1978. If you ever think that a baby never born can't devistate a mother you did not see my mother's dark depression those times. I don't remember the 1st miscarriage real well only that it happened but the other 2 I remember clearly. My mother still has sad times roughly when the birthdays would have been.
My brother born in December 1980 was a miracle baby for that reason. Them my sister in February of 1982.
My wife's dob I won't say here. lol My kids are Jason April 1997 Eric August 2003 Emily April 2007
That's about it for that. I'd love to see a angry customer work issues thread I have some stories too.

Awww, I feel bad for your mum, and for you Phil, about the miscarries. That's....*hugs* I feel you. My cousin had one miscarry about 5 years ago. Now she has breast cancer. Docs think it might have been related. (Well, she DID have BC, but double mastectimy and chemo, so far so good.)
We have pictures of me and her, both bald headed and happy at the latest family picnic. I wore her wig in one pic.

So, won't say the wife's DOB, eh?
She's not....OLDER than you, is she? lol.
Then again, older women can certainly show you the way around....*Blastgirl whispers in my ear, "There's kids here"*....certainly show you how to weed your garden, if you know what I mean?
lol.

I'm older than her but it's close. About a year. Hows that?
We actually knew eachother since high school. But we didn't date eachother during high school.

I knew a girl all through highschool and dated her afterwards, too.
We didn't work out as well as you guys did, but we're still close friends.
She's 27 now and married a guy who is 48!!!
Wierdness ensues......

I think it was more of a 'Sugar Momma' thing. He was broke and taught him how to manage money.
She also saved him from getting his car repo'd. lol.

You know what's even funnier?
Since I've seen Phil's vids on the tube, I've had a complete comparison to Lyn's new hubby.
They look and speak the same, though I'm sure Phil is more finacially stable.
Long hair and everything.
Slick Phil's hair back into a pony and put some dark sunglasses on him, he'd look mafia, just like Dewey.
lol
