In the next few weeks B.O. and his cronies are planning on launching a similar plan to the Cash for Clunkers in order to get people to buy a bunch of new appliances that are "Energy Star" compliant - in order to "Stimulate The Economy". (Imagine me talking like a ghost during that last line.)
Again, it's people who don't belong buying thing they can't afford buying things they can't afford.
Wanna know why we're in the recession we're in now?! Because people who shouldn't have been buying houses were buying houses!
AIG, Freddie Mac, Sallie Mae, HUD housing. BOA. Citibank. Morgan Stanley. ETC! Where does it stop?
I wouldn't doubt the "Old furniture" deal, next. B.O. wants to own everyone - anyway he can.

There are worse things to worry about than how much energy your old...whatever kind of equipment...is using.

It always comes down to what Mahnarch says here. If you buy things you can't afford the bottom is always going to fall out.
Demona I heard about the office supplies cash for clunkers thing too.
My group and I will be loading and transporting office printers from various buildings operated by all of the affiliate companies in the eastern United states on account of this.

Gee, need new stationery GO BUY IT! Wal-Mart carries the stuff, and stores cheaper than that. Companies have been throwing out old junk and replacing it for years on their own when the time comes, so why worry?

I think the Cash For Clunkers also stipulated that it must get below a certain amount of miles per gallon but that's something I heard from a car sales person not high authority.

It always comes down to what Mahnarch says here. Yes. ALWAYS listen to the Mahnarch; for, in the Mahnarch, you will always hear the truth. It's true, too. Office supplies? The free world runs on the free market (not the "Free to you" market - a.k.a, thievery/welfare). Imagine if you had to fill out an IRS 1294A(c125.7619b) Form, in triplicate, in order to be "blessed" with 50 pieces of blank 8.5"x11" - when you asked for 1,200. BG: The dealer was on his fence. Number 1) He was forced, under B.O.'s program, to offer new cars (HIS new cars, since he now owns the big three [monopoly, much?]) [glow=red,2,300]Site the 'Antitrust Law'[/glow] Letter B) He is/was/is getting ripped off from B.O.'s cronies in over $1.5mill on back payments for deals already made. Parsec 3) They had to promise you $4,500 to get you in the door - and finally offer $2,500 when you're only gaining 2-3 MPG. I had a number 4 but, I got hooked on COPS on TV and forgot what it was.... I hate it when that happens. ....I rooted for the bad guy..... He only had a joint on him. COME ON!!!! They had 5 300lb cops pummel at 135lb guy for ONE joint! And, they made a big deal about it! "He was probably a big drug dealer...."Pfft! The average American has 0.015 ounces of cocaine in the threads of their paper money. (They did a test - lick your money and see if it goes numb.)

I hated to see the cash for clunkers. I think some very nice cars got destroyed because of that.

I'm going to drive around Allegan tomorrow with my trailer and buy up all the $500-900 cars that need light repairs and flip them for $1500-3000.
I have a lead on7 of them.
"Cash For Clunkers" really took a hit on my inventory.....

I'm sure it did. My father in law has often fixed up older but useable cares and he said the same thing. Inventory suffered for a whole.
