yes, I'm amazed how my dad was able to pull through the hard times. There's no doubt in my mind that he pulled through it all so that he could give you the life he believed you deserved. Your father is very honorable; very, very few individuals make it through the flames when they stand up to Big Business and the U.S. government.

Vix: Was your dad part of the Fleischmann-Pons cold fusion debacle? It made huge news back in '89 but, was quickly defunct'ed'ed....ed. If he was the whistle blower on that one..... I salute your dad for the gall that he showed. Tell him I said so (if that was it). Beans: I'm on the 'Retired' list as far as the dating/relationship scene goes. I'll probably take a few year hiatus and then.....well, I'll be too old by that time. What I need is a Blind/Deaf/Mute woman who doesn't understand English braile. Yeah! The perfect woman! I've already addressed the problem with my 2012 public knowledge problem. Aido, Vix and Jersey have already got my back on that... Beans. You will be my newly appointed "Western Coast Intersect Secretary". You will be my eyes and ears on the west coast. Keep me informed of what the liberals are doing out there so I can intervene in time. You got my friend. We just have to wait for "The Govenator Arnold " to pull his head out of the sand and give us a decent budget.

Everyone realizes, of course, that with my appointment I'll need to gather everyone's Real Names, Phone Numbers, mailing addresses... ....bank account numbers..... heh. Nah! Just bank account numbers will do. *** Vix. I think I know what your dad was involved with - being "in the know", myself. I'll leave it at that.

I have had marketers call and say 'can you verify a credit card number?' They think I'm just going to pullout a credit card number and read it to them. Some people must do that.
I know that's off topic that's what came to mind from the above Mahnarch post.

Yeah. That's one of the oldest scams out there.
They'll call and ask you to read out your CC number, SS number, Bank Account number, etc...
Real companies give you the last four numbers (or the whole thing, upon verification that you are you) then ask you "Yes, or No".
Another scam is:
"I'll send you a check for $2,500. You keep $500 and send us back a personal check for $2,000 to cover fees and taxes."
Kiss your $2,000 good-bye. It's called 'Stupid Tax'.

"I'll send you a check for $2,500. You keep $500 and send us back a personal check for $2,000 to cover fees and taxes." Kiss your $2,000 good-bye. It's called 'Stupid Tax'. My Dad calls it Tuition from the School of Hard Knocks. I can't believe people, (often intelligent enough people) are naive enough to fall for that. Its all about greed when that happens. Another trick is they contact a person and say that an immigrant is coming from another Country and this Family can't get a checking account because they haven't been here long enough. They ask if they can deposit money into the account and hey for your convenience don't be afraid to use some of it." Eventually they remove all the money. That happened to someone my Mom knew.

I love the Oak Ridge boys.
On the original subject though I would say that its up to you what you tell your boss. As long as you do your job what you do outside of work if youre not a convicted felon is not relevant to the job.

Convicted Felon??!!!
Crap! I once tried to send a letter using a 41¢ the day after the price went up to 42¢.
Am I going to get fired?
Heh.
I finally let my guy who does our Health Insurance know so he could take Lori off my plan. He told me that I can't until we're legally divorced.
Living on a $0 budget makes it hard to get a lawyer at this time. I'm going to have to stop paying off my CC debts for a bit (the CC debts that Lori put me in).

The Feds may know...
I've seen a black van parked outside my house the last few days.
There was a guy who walked up into my yard saying that he was, "reading the meter" near my electrical post.
He peed himself.....
....might have been cuz I had a 12 gauge pointed at his face.
Nevertheless, I'm keeping an eye out!

The black van is suspicious. Not much of a spy if he peed himself though.
Among my bigger work peeves is people that wine about not having enough money and then take time off when they don't need it.
