Phil, we need you back there to weigh in on the nastyness that sometimes takes place there. I'm not quite sure why that happened.  I mean, we were having a nice discussion before it kind of blew up. Rusty was right to shut it down at that point. I think I am going to avoid politics and religion discussions---it can get too mean sometimes.  |

I agree. I am so glad Rusty closed the thread. What was said was way out of line. Both of these sites have had there share of "Ugly" But when a respected member attacks? It is a bit shocking.

Yeah, that kind of thing tends to dampen participation. You might expect that from a troll, but not a well known member. |

I would be willing to say that the blastsisters were the forum's best 2 members when the forum was at its highest point. Sure all the members contributed but I strongly believe that most members got involved because of the blastsisters stories. I also think most of the good members got read because membership base that was mainly drawn by the blastsisters stuck around to read other people's posts and participate with them as well.
Something that probably would not have happened if the Blastsisters weren't so colorful and sociable because most other members would not have stuck around to find out about eachother long enough otherwise.
There would have been a forum but participation and discussiuon would have been a fraction of what it was and I attribute it in most to Blastgirl and Kimm. I just think fewer eyes would have read the stories becase fewer people would have been drawn to that forum otherwise.
I saw that post. Political views and religious views always draw different opinions but to keep it in the way of discussion it's important to explain why you feel the way you do and why you differ with the other person.
Its kind of like when Photo412 said to me 'So Phil an overnight railroad maintenance man here to pull rank?'
That made it personal outside the topic of debate too.
Since I am not as nice a person as Kimm I didnt feel as badly by being told that.
