Thanks, man. Now that we have snow on the ground I want to get better faster. It sucks having to shiver and be sick at the same time. Next thing you know I'll have a major Flu, or something because my white cells are worn out. Speaking of snow: I have about an inch and a half on the ground today. What do you have up there? Several feet... and we're expecting around two more feet on Friday. Personally, I am beside myself with joy. _glitch_

Diverticulitis...that's the final outcome. It's been a couple of weeks of anti-bacterial prescripts and I'm doing pretty good, so far. I do notice that when I eat certain foods I get a relapse of pain but it's not as severe, nor does it last as long. I'm hoping the pain that I'm having now is just the result of the damage that was done and is now healing. Apparently, I'm supposed to stay away from foods with seeds in them - which is hard, since I love veggies. I'm glad everyone was standing by me as I went through this - and continue to do so, to a lesser degree of pain. It would seem odd that I've been missing but, with several summer months spent in pain, in bed and on pain killers, PPIs and anti-bacterials I'm finally able to catch up on my 'summer duties', which are harder to do when there's a foot or more of snow on the ground. I still have to mend the fence on 'the back forty' (foot) where snow drifts allow my dogs to walk, casually, over the snow drifts. I hate snow. But, I feel good.

Thank you so much. I'm feeling tons better - though I still get pain in my lower stomach every once in a while.
It sucks that I have to watch my diet from now on but, I'm glad (and relieved) that I've got a handle on things.
I was really worried when the doc through out the 'C' word a few months back. All I could think about was months/years of chemo and surgeries I would have faced.

Good to see everything checked out.
I had some worries regarding marks on my legs left over from insect bites I got in the spring/summer. Bugs like to bite me, but red marks remained after the itching and such stopped. After several rounds of tests and finally two biopsies, the diagnosis was simply hypersensitivity to the insect bites, and the prognosis is that the marks could take months to go away.

I hate marks on skin and with me it takes a long time to get rid of those kinds of things.

I don't know if Diverticulitis is "better" but, it's better than cancer.
It could still mean being opened up in years yet to come. At least I'll have a warning, however.
I'm just hoping that I can make it from 2012 to 2020 in fair shape. I'd hate to put Phil on the spot as POTUS whilst I'm under the knife for a few hours...
