I see some of the scariest decorations for sale this year. Some are cute and kind of silly but some would just freak you out.

Us dads have it made. Send cute little kids out in monster costumes to get bags of candy for you. This is the life.

I got the day off..Woo! Hoo!. Wal Mart has a really scary animated witch with a crystal ball and skull. Both talk and sing. We have Phantom of the Opera animated guy. Really gross. Our Halloween section is in the garden section . Lots of gross stuff. I bought a black rose , small skeleton, a RIP Tombstone and a sign that says Autopsy Room which I hanged on my bedroom wall. ;D

I think being in the stores at Halloween time must be a lot of fun.
I'll bet Salem, Massachusetts is fun around Halloween time with all the witch happenings this is prime time of year.

There's a haunted hayride we're going take this Friday. It's a costume ride for families and a Halloween party that follows.

It's going to be. My sister has a daughter the same age as my 5 year old son and a boy who is turning 3 and they're going with us.
Eric has tried on his costumes about 10 times today.
He has decided to be a clown at the school party next week but a monster at the hayride this weekend.

We have here Knott's Berry Farm Halloween Haunt all through October. I went one year and it is so much fun! You have all these people made up as all kinds of Ghouls and monsters. Some of the rides the rides are rigged to scare the crap out of you. These creeps follow you through the park and harass you. We could not stop laughing! In the food court they have really gross animal innards in glass cases as you order your food.It is really not scary just a load of fun!

Haunted houses are always fun to go to. A bunch of my friends and I went to one last year. My favorite part, besides going through the house, was that some people in costumes came up to you while waiting in line and would try to scare you.
Also I'm hoping I don't have to work on Trick-or-Treat night, or the night of our town's Halloween parade. I've got a great costume to show off at the parade, and while passing out candy.

What's your costume?
I like haunted houses too and the hayride was probably outstanding. Insert Phil's input on that. But if you have small kids like we do and my sons are even a bit younger than Phil's kids you know that it can't be too scary or its upsetting to kids instead of being fun.
Obviously the hayride was intended to be family oriented so it probably was fun and not overboard on being scary.
Parades are a great way to spend Halloween.
You have to be careful of pranksters. Someone should housewatch if you can't be home malicious kids damage things when nobody has candy to pass out.

Little Halloween party at our house in about an hour. I teach 8th and 11th grade. I have 2 classes of 11th grade in the morning then I go down the street and teach 3 afternoon social studies classes of 8th grade. It's about the same lesson just at the high school level you get more into the political aspects of things rather than just the history of it. Truthfully you do a little bit in 8th grade. But you find out how their parents are voting.
In the 11th grade theres a little more independence on that subject.
