Atari that seems to be the hot topic lately. This is about the fifth time in the last week a different conversation situation has mentioned Atari.

My Atari is the real deal, though. Most 'modern' folks have rebuilts or look-a-likes.
Maybe I can get a power converter from Radio Shack, or an original from Ebay.

Ok all right all right already.
I'll bet you don't realize that at one time a lot of communities did not even have cable television? We didnt have it at the house when I was little. I was about in my junior year when we did get it. That makes me about 17 or whatever and Classic I think was 12.
We had the old roof mounted antenna and if it was cold enough sometimes if froze and instead of getting up to 5 channels including public television you only got whatever it happened to get. Nobody cared to go up on the roof and unfreeze it so you just watched whatever came in. And if it got stuck on public television you really needed to consider something else.

I have some Zenith Boxes, I'm an hour's drive from the closest city and my antenna sucks, so I do better with the analog, I went to Lowes to buy a new antenna yesterday, and they were sold out of the one I wanted, I may look on ebay or Circuit City.com Tonight is Big Bang Theroy and How I Met Your Mother, about the only TV I watch during the week.

I'm surprised how many people still use analog or antennas. But in some ways the old ways are still the best.

I'm surprised how many people still use analog or antennas. But in some ways the old ways are still the best. I can afford the "old ways" I can't afford overpriced Cable or Sat. if they would sell you a basic package and then let you tack on those 3-5 channels you have to have for say $0.10 - $0.20 a piece then I'd be fine, but they make you pay $10-$40 + more for a higher package. But I've gotten accustomed to not watching a lot of TV and I love it that way.

Sure you can. I'll sign you up to a $300 a month valued system but you pay $34.99 a month for three years. When it gets to a high debt they'll shut your box off and we'll beg the government to pay it back.
