You get a great veiw at the front of the upper level, depending of course on the scenery outside

I still think that is awesome to be in the front of the top row of a double decker bus.
I filled up my truck on the way home, 91 bucks and it had at least a quarter tank.

It costs some cash to fill my truck too. The Mustang doesn't have a large tank but it doesn't get good mileage either.
It could do a little better in the mileage department but I didn't buy it for that reason. Therefore I don't drive it in a way that would get the most fuel efficiency out of it possible.

There's an RV and Bus dealer in downtown Holland that sells the double decker buses. The problem is that they can't drive down US-31 in our area because of the train bridge (13' 6"). They have to go around Tulip city airport if you want to go south.

It seems like my $602 is going to be 'chump change' if Diesel goes up to the $7/gal they're predicting.
We really need to start drilling ANWR and off the Cali coast, NOW!!
Enviro-nerd: "But, it'll ruin the ocean and the natural habitat......"
Name me one major oil spill in recent history.

None that weren't stupidity. Like the Exxon tanker hitting a coral reef otherwise none.
If congress had allowed the president to put through the program to drill in Alaska and Oklahoma like he wanted to in 2002 by 2006 we would have been well underway and much of our troubles wouldn't be here.
But no, instead we are strangled by big business, foreign countries who hate not only America but all the democritized nations and we're paying through the nose for oil and leftest America seems to think they should blame Bush for it when it's their congress people who put the cork on Bush's efforts to make us more self sustaining.

Actually 3 oil spills in 18 years in a world that drills and consumes as much oil as is consumed today thats not all that bad. Not that any oil spill is good but 1 spill every 6 years is probably a regular hazard of drilling and refining and transporting oil.

So the thousands of animals that die are just, casualties?
But anyway.. I see your point, 1000 is better than 10,000.
I agree though, we should decrease our dependency on foreign oil. It gives Arabs too much control over the US. Instead using up our oil reserves, we should look into alternative fuel sources. Because when we're out of oil from Alaska, we will have to come back to the Arabs looking more pathetic and desperate than ever.

What makes you think we would run out of oil in Alaska before the Arab nations run out? Theres no real way of knowing when theres going to be an end of the oil or what. They can project but theres no guarantee thats accurate what they speculate.
I hate to see even 1 animal die for the other matter.

I guess that's a risk we'd have to take...

I guess that's a risk we'd have to take... As shameful as it is I agree because I don't think it's good to be dependent. I think there should be more manufacturing in the Untied States too. For the last thirty years probably longer US factories have scaled down to outsource because outsourcing to foreign countries seems to be cheaper because many of the people can support their families on much less than what Americans. As a result companies outsource making America more dependent on other Nations.

Hey, Tomato: What do you guys call these? *** As far as the oil: If I were President, I'd tell the major oil companies to 'Shove a straw down there and start sucking, right now!' (Under strict contract to sell any U.S. oil ONLY in the U.S.) Then, I'd let Congress know about it. Any Congressman/Lawyer/Judge/Environmentalist/Activist that throws a fit about it, I'd have him immediately arrested on ground of treason (for aiding and abetting a known criminal [terrorists]) and accusations of corruption. I'd have his/her/their bank accounts frozen until a thorough audit of their finances can determine if (read "when") they had a large amount of unexplainable money deposited/land given/cars gifted/etc and show it as proof of a bribe. They want their 15 minutes of fame? I'll give them 150 years of shame!

No messing around there Mahnarch. I like the idea of not selling the oil that needs not be exported when so much is being imported already.

I don't mess around. I'd call the senile Senator's out on their incompetence (and, I'll never apologize for a 'Non-PC' statement - ever!)
But, here's the deal.
The U.S. harvests millions of tons of tomatoes a year (as an example) We export several of those tons.
THEN!...we IMPORT several tons of tomatoes from overseas.... Usually at a higher price than we exported them.
Keep the crap here!

I like your ideas Mahnarch. The only thing I'm not sure about is if you can circumvent Congress on some of these things.

Executive Order.
Plus, my main platform is 'Protecting my citizens from the marauder' - foreign or domestic - militarily or financially.
I AM the 'common man' and I will protect the common man.
Most Presidents are worried about keeping 'nice' with Congress. I couldn't give two #2s and a 'procreational activity' about keeping nice with senile old bass fishermen.
Congressmen are nothing more than tally takers. They're supposed[/b] to listen to their constituents and vote how the majority votes.
Congress, lately, seems to have forgotten that and they seem to think that they are 'Little Presidents' running their respective areas - to their own benefit.

(Under strict contract to sell any U.S. oil ONLY in the U.S.) Yeah. How about those millions of barrels of U.S. oil that goes to Japan? Free of charge. You might be wondering why? Two little bombs named "Little Boy" and "Fat Man". Stopping the pronounced U.S. @$$ kissing of Japan might actually help things too. They can buy from Saudi Arabia just like everybody else. They're rich enough from selling us most of everything we use. Including their cars.

Isn't big business swinging a pretty big hammer in this too? As I put over 100 bucks in my F350 tonight. Grrrr.
