My first name is Andreas, and it actually means "Man". And yet people say "Dude!!" all the time EDIT: Some guy told me it can be translated from ancient Greek to "Warrior". Cool

Sometimes you could be surprised how many different meanings names can have.

Kevin: Anglicized form of the Irish name Caoimhín, derived from the older Irish Coemgen, composed of the Old Irish elements coem "kind, gentle, handsome" and gein "birth". Saint Caoimhín established a monastery in Glendalough, Ireland in the 6th century and is the patron saint of Dublin. Kind, gentle, handsome... yup I'd say it's accurate. another Kevin eh? well Im satisfied with my name now.

My name being Philip I think it means hero but I haven't looked it up. Heh, my name is Philip, too. Meh, "Lover or horses" last time I checked.

Some of the more modern names are kind of made up too. In that I mean they are new and don't have a long traceable history.
My Sons both have old traditional names. Our two year old is Jacob and our Baby is John.

Terry means polished and tender.... Your name is Terry? That's my brother's name. He goes by Thunderbird on this site. But that is his name. Anyway it's nice to see Ammo and everybody else again. An afternoon outing against my formers gets me home early. And I actually live closer to the "old park" so I'm rocking the internet tonight.

Marcus is a Roman praenomen, or given name, which was probably derived from the name of the Roman god MARS.
