Weasel!!! Are you a fellow 'USDA-RHS'er, too?!
I've been with them since day one!
Every month I write out a check to them! And, every month, they take it........cuz they do. My guy is named Scott.

edlinfan....If only I was a member when I redid my shingles on the roof in 1997. No less than 3 Mexicans lost their lives.....lol.
There may still be one or two living in my attic.

Weasel!!! Are you a fellow 'USDA-RHS'er, too?! Kinda, I have the RD Guaranteed loan, you get it through a bank, but it's still through the USDA, the direct loan was out of money at the time and I knew the house would be gone well before more funding, so I had to go the bank route, but I will say that the people in the office were extremely helpful.

Home repair is a never ending battle. But my 11 year old is learning basic maintenance and pretty soon his brother will be old enough to be in this too. I figure by the time I'm 42 to 45 I wont have to do it anymore.

Well, the battle was won but, as it turns out, the war isn't over......bah!
It worked fine for a good few days but, clogged right back up again, like instantly this time.
I went back out to the first tank and ran my hand auger back up the line going toward the house and hit something hard. I twisted the crank but it kept getting tighter and tighter. I gave a little tug and something "Popped". Poop don't pop.
I ran the auger back in - same thing.
I'm thinking the popping is roots; has to be.
Has anyone ever rented one of those powered Rotor Rooters? and for how much to they go for?
I've got a co-worker that said he's seen them in action and that they do cut through roots but, he doesn't know what they go for, and Taylor Rental isn't very helpful in the posting prices online department (it's not like they have to deliver it! Just post a dang price on their site.)
Heck, maybe I should just look into purchasing one.
This is getting really frustrating. I even pulled the toilet out in the bathroom closest to the tank and augered down that hole but, didn't reach anything.
My hand auger is 15ft. I hear the power Router is in the neighborhood of 100ft.

You may need to have that portion of line replaced with PVC pipe (tree roots can't bust through it)

Ha-HAA!!!!
I GOT IT!!!!
I had a huge calcium build up at the.....what do they call that....where the back bathroom and front one join.....
A 'T' joint?
I found that I had an entire bale of tension wire (1/4 inch - for fencing liner) in my garage and shoved that up my pipe from the septic tank.
I hit a spot about 20ft in and kept poking at it. I wasn't sure if I'd hit a corner or a clog but after some time I broke through....and sweated.
Suddenly, a chunk of calcified "whatever" floated out of the pipe.
I went inside and popped open my trap door to look under the house and didn't see any water running into the crawl space.
Then, I had my mum flush the toilet in each bathroom as I watched outside.
Everything is perfect!! W00T!!
