....I want to work at Hooters...but, I have no butt fat.
As far as the kids; it's up to you, Kimm, to be an inspiration (or, persperation) to the kids to learn more than the bottom of the barrel. Tell them that a 'B-' is a failing grade - in your eyes.

I think he even put it in video but Phil keeps saying whenever the service isn't good somewhere "With all the people who are unemployed right now how do employers have to be stuck with incompetence like this?

This is different from slackers but Thunderbird called me tonight, and in our discussion he mentioned that he had to fire a rather long term guy for stealing. He has suspected this guy for several months. Obviously that means he's probably been taking things for several years but it became more certain lately and that's the end of this guy. He had been with the business for 7 years and he is good at the job but once you take from the company trust can never be restored.

I can't blame him for getting rid of a guy who has embezzled from him along the way. Like you said he's probably done that for years. The longer he got away with it the less he thought he's being watched probably.

This is one of the reasons why I quit my last job; all the slackers and people just doing the job half-assed. Whenever I worked the evening shift on weekends, the two people who worked the afternoon shift would have hardly anything done that they needed to do on the list, and it would fall on the evening crew to finish, along with their other responsibilities.
One night I just got absolutely sick and tired of it, and I left the manager a 3-page long note on everything that the morning and afternoon crew did not get done, and that me and the other person working the evening shift had to do, along with our own work. I can also remember that me and the girl I worked with, did not get home until about 11:30, and it was a night we closed at 10:00. Let's just say that the morning and afternoon crew that worked that day got in a lot of trouble. So glad I don't work there anymore!

I don't think slackers really fool their boss though. When hours and overtimes are available they tend not to get picked. If there's trouble of any kind the foremen are usually quick to throw those guys under the bus in a hearing.

Yeah, We have had two long term employees that was taken out in handcuffs for stealing at Wal Mart. One guy was taking our new computers for our remodel and he had cut a hole in the garden fence and hid them outside. I don't know why the other guy went but he had to have stolen or the police would not have come .

The other night was an easy night I was sent out to check crossings. Not a big deal. Important but easy. All of the sections I was told to cover were in good shape so it went even faster. I was done in about 5 hours and that was covering a lot of miles including drive time. I spent about 3 hours of my night putting away supplies. No problem on that either. Another guy given the same assignment took the full shift to do it and had no reported trouble either. Our drive time and rounds distance was about the same. He is kind of a slacker so he just made it take longer. He might have gone for coffee or done something else to elongate the job.
He called me while I was on the way home and told me I should take it easier on situations like that because it made him look bad that I was back so much before him.
